California smog test 320xi
I have a 2016 320xi with a BM3 stage 1 tune. The rest of the car is stock minus a drop in filter. I recently moved to California and attempted to have my car smog tested. They were unable to get a reading for my catalyst monitor and were unable to pass the car. Is my tune causing this issue and if not what do I need to do???

I'm confused as to why you are getting smog tested? Is that a requirement when registering your car from out of state?
I drive a 2014 and have yet to have it smogged... |

It does sound like you have cat monitoring turned off in BM3. Turn it back on and you'll be fine. As long as you're not running a catless downpipe.
