Connected Drive payments down for a month

Don't think I have seen this mentioned by anyone - payments through the Connect Drive site have been failing since the first week of February. So you can't renew RTTI, for example ( I know it has its critics but it is useful on a regular commute).

Anyone know anything about it?

Yip, been trying to do a map upgrade for a while and can't pay on line. Have emailed customer services twice and they say that BMW DE knows about this and are looking to fix it.

mail content ...

Thanks for your email about purchasing a USB Map Update subscription.

I’ve been in touch with the escalation team and this issue is affecting the UK market on a wide-spread scale. As a result it’s been escalated to the highest level and a resolution will be short coming. However, I can’t predict when this will be, only keep you update of the progress.

I understand this is an inconvenience and possible frustrating, but I assure you that I’m chasing all avenues for updates and will be in touch soon. If there’s anything else I can help you with in the meantime, please get back in touch.

Kind regards

Phil

I could not complete the RTTI renewal back mid January either... I called them and they completed the transaction over the phone.

I have been trying to renew my RTTI and Online services now for the best part of 3 weeks with no success even though I have spoken to Connected Drive 3 times.

But following this email today they have managed to do a fix -

Hello Andy

Thanks for getting in touch about renewing your RTTI and Online subscription.

I’m afraid that we’re experiencing a technical fault with our ConnectedDrive store. Our technicians are working on a solution and this will be implemented as soon as possible.

A work-around has been developed. It would require me to remove and re-add your car and then manually add the subscription and charge the allotted amount to the card entered in your billing information. If you wish me to carry this out please reply back confirming which ConnectedDrive subscription you are attempting to purchase. You can access your billing information here.

I do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but I assure you that our technical team and digital marketing team are aware of the issue and are working on a “fix”. I hope this information is of use to you and I look forward to your response.

Kind regards

Phil

I've had same issues. Beyond belief that a multinational corporation like bmw can't get a website sorted to take payments!

They've offered to do it manually a few days ago but it's not happened yet, so just sent another email to try and sort it out.

They sorted it today thankfully. I did phone them last week and wasn't offered the manual option, just told to try again on the website on
Monday.

Just copied and pasted this off my invoice from yesterday -

Real Time Traffic Information 05.03.2018 - 04.03.2019 £ 33.33
BMW Online 05.03.2018 - 04.03.2019 £ 29.17

Subtotal £ 62.50
VAT (20.00%) £ 12.50
Total £ 75.00

The trouble with the call centre is the left arm doesn't know what the right arm is doing - USELESS!!!!!!!
