Hi Guys,

Just a quick heads up for those that do interim oil changes - Home Bargains offer a 5W30 BMW LL04 approved oil for only £15.99 for 4.5L. They also do 1L packs for £4. Please note that its normally the larger shops that stock this - some only stock a lesser 10W40 Semi (which goes into my other 'BMW' a 1933 Austin Seven!)

I always use this stuff half way through mine and the Mrs' N47 and M57 oil changes to ensure the cam chain lube passages don't get blocked. I use a suction pump, meaning i can do a full change in about 10 minutes, including sucking out the oil filter chamber.

They are blended/manufactured by Rock Oils in Warrington and it has all the same approvals as the usual LL04 oils - Also matching VW505.01 (PD engines which are very hard on their Cam's) and GM Dexos 2.
