Yeah. Doesn't bother me enough to pursue a fix. Currently spending all my energy persuading them the dancing lights are wrong. Passed their calibration test but a video driving has changed their mind.

Whats wrong with the dancing lights? I only ask as mine were rubbish until I convinced the dealership to invest in some proper tooling to set them up right!

Same problem as yours. But my dealer refuse to look at your case as it doesn't relate to my car. Clearly they're completely different issues...

So I'm going the long way round. In for 3 days next week.

If it's the same problem I had (shadow box off center) then surely the fix is the same

The dealer probably doesn't want to buy the tool......

The problem at the moment is the BMW guidance says to check alignment which was perfect. So had to provide video evidence which they've accepted. The shadow box was misaligned such that the disco in front was getting blinded in lh mirror and lots of reflection from the number plate.

Hopefully next week they will move onto step 2 of the guidance whatever that may be!

That's how I feel to, doesn't bother me enough to mess around with the dealers, but really hoping someone else's dealer finds the fix so I can just take it in and say do this!

Likewise, just can't bothered to go through the rigmarole of trying to explain it and replicate it. It happens so infrequently and randomly that I guess I can live with it.

Plenty of the poor main headlight lighting comments. Not saying poor. but the LCI LED's are pish IMO. See other threads/posts.

You really should take it to the dealers! I still can't believe just how bright my LCI LED's are! There must be something wrong with yours.

I'm pretty sure there is nothing wrong with mines. Just that i don't like it.
Not wasting time going to dealership to say that though. Just need to accept it being diffferent from the xenon brightness.

You may possibly be right with LED being brighter, but not in my case.
I drive a lot at night and find that the previous xenons were better.

Have you adjusted the height of the beams upwards? I had to on both my LCI LED's and my pre LCI xenons.

That's what i read in a previous post. The adjustment is, i think, full height which shouldn't normally be. Don't want to be blinding everybody. Plenty of throw though but, IMO not as bright as xenon.
I'm sure other posters with the LCI LED's have the same opiinion.

TBH it's not worth bothering about. The lights still work magiical being adapative althogh not as bright.

I'm also having the problem with the intermittent rear interior light.

It wasn't such an issue before but now the nights (and mornings) are getting darker its becoming very annoying.

I had the dealer to look at it when it was in for some warranty work last week (incidentally part of that warranty work was poor headlights too - Adaptive Iconic LED's) and unsurprisingly they found no fault or codes were logged with respect to the interior lights.

For what its worth my car also has ACC and it only appears to happen with cruise control is enabled.

I also agree that the adaptive LCI LED's are considerable poorer than the pre LCI adaptive xenon's.

Finally some success with this issue!!

Coopers looked at mine today and found a manufacturing defect with the roof light control unit!

They are replacing it on the 21st so I'll report back after then to confirm if it fixes it!

Good news, my F31 (MY15) has been doing this on and off (pardon the pun) for the last year, seems to be once the car is driven for a prolonged time, > 1 hour.

Car goes in for it's 2nd service in a month or so, so will point the service team in that direction to get a fix

I have also had this phantom rear light issue on the 330e, which is a LCI saloon, and I also have ACC, and this happened whilst that was activated!

It does seem quite improbable that the fact everyone who has reported this issue has a car specced with ACC is just coincidence.

It's never happened on the 335d we have.

I'm able to compare the LCI adaptive LEDS to adaptive xenons as we have both currently, and the jury is still out for me. I can't say I'm blown away by the LEDS, and I think I may actually prefer the xenons, though I've not done a lot of night time driving in the newer car yet.

teaston keep us posted on the fix.

My car is back in the dealers next to look at the adaptive LEDS, its much more noticeable about the poor light spread now that darker nights (and mornings) are here.

Specifically addressing the low beam being too low and the adaptive box while following a car being offset to the right to the point that the l/h headlight shines on the back on the vehicle in front (including its l/h side mirror).

It's in before the 21st but based on teastons note above about the roof light ecu i might ask them to look at that again.

Having said that i have not had the intermittent interior light issue since the car was in the dealers last time....
