Just coded it back to Logic 7 and for me it's a lot more refined in B&O mode. Logic 7 seems harder, more direct but with less detail

Back now to B&O

I just did the Bower & Wilkins by mistake when attempting to code B&O
Holy fuck! - It’s immense when I imported my EQ settings in again and threw some Biffy, Foo Fighters and a few indie tracks off Spotify

Whatís the difference between B&O and B&W?

On another note, does anyone known if the HK amp could power the B&O mids and/or subs?!

Donít know as I didnít manage to code B&O

5 presets, could only discern between a couple of them, but the sound regardless is much more powerful than the HK

B+O is Bang and Olufsen.
BW is Bowers and Wilkin.
Two different brands.

The BO speakers require a wee bit more power so no. Besides you could outdo them. Think Eton speakers for example. Those would run off the HK and sound pretty good.

Sorry, I should have been more specific.

I know they are two different brands, but I meant the difference in the Coding?

F series never got B&W AFAIK as itís Gx tech. With B&O being the brand found in high end Fx models such as X5, X6 etc.

Iíve been tempted to buy some mids to try them out!

HU_NBT_EVO> 3000 HMI > HIGH_END_AUDIO_B_UND_W > Change to Volle_Insz

So, whats the best hifi settings to go? B&O or B&W?

Which submenu is this in on Bimmercode expert mode, struggling to find, if i go for audio sound it just gives me options for various levels of quality like hifi, high end not the long settings shown above. New to the expert mode, so don't want to play unless i know exactly what i'm doing.

Apologies, just ignore me (the Mrs does all the time, i wonder why !), have worked it out, der.

Has anyone decided the B & W is a better sound, or is it all just personal preferences.

Is this available for pre-lci?

I tried coding this on Wednesday but the coding failed and it took me forever to get the backup to code to clear the fault.

I have the business nav/champ2 unit if this helps.

Thanks

I have coded B&O in my F30 328i with 9 Speaker Hifi system. And yes I feel the phasing different and I like it.

But when I switch from Studio to Expanded, I cant feel the difference. Furthermore even if I selected to Expanded mode, it will go back to Studio mode if I restart my car. Is it the nature of the system? or because my system is not HK?

Normal for yours as it's not HK. To benefit from studio / expanded you need the centre channel speaker in the dashboard and the DSP abilities of the HK amp.
