Looks very nice, love the exterior and interior colour combo.

Yet to see one of these in person so I'll be interested to have a nosy around one.
Congrats

The door mirrors had dark streak marks on them and to be honest I tried to clean them and couldn't get them perfectly clean, never thought too much about it till you mentioned it. Surely if they are marked and cannot be cleaned BMW will need to replace them?.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I saw the photo at the service station. Leave as is Tim.
I gave them a harder scrub and they're getting better, will have to experiment with other cleaning products.

Also now fitted my winter wheels, fitted the rubber mats and took a few more photos:

Have you tried a damp lens cleaning cloth and used filtered water?

What rubber mats did you go for, something I want to get?

I applied Chemical Guys Jet Seal to sort the problem.

I'll try some IPA, or if not maybe some compound.

They're the genuine BMW all weather mats.

8cm wider in a parking bay is not insignificant.

True. The X3 is pretty wide - within 1cm of the width of a 7 Series. Having had 3 X3s as loan cars (I think my dealer might be trying to sell me one!), they don't actually feel that wide. Perhaps the improved visibility from the higher seating position offsets some of the feeling of width. Not ideal for car park spaces though.

Yes having compared the two yesterday, it certainly didn't feel as wide but it is as you say, the higher driving position gave me a better view and the car felt easier to position on the road compared to the 7.

True, that's why I made sure to order the incredible surround view option. Also it can park itself, if your parking skills aren't good enough.

Thanks, yeah I think it looks ok, but if they ever need refurbishing I'll probably have them done in Ferric or Orbit Grey.

Looking very nice . Are the wheels style 691?. Will be buying some winters soon and really don't want run or buy any that have a diamond cut finish.

No they're Autec Kitano's, about a quarter of the price of 691's! They're made in Germany and fully TUV approved though, and made specifically for BMW's (they even have the EH2+ humps for RFT's, and the original centre caps fit), same wheels that mrwinterwheels have for the X3.
