Help please - Accelerator Pedal

I got myself a Racechip XLR throttle tuning box as a Christmas pressie, tried installing it today and it turned out very fiddly

- Pedal removal was straight forward, once I'd done that, I just couldn't get the connector out, watched videos, tried prying using a flat head screwdriver, nothing worked, appears proper jammed

- it was getting dark, thought no point mucking around, decided to put the accelerator pedal back on and nightmare i just can't get the pedal back onto the hook at the top there are no videos on how to put the pedal back on, every video on youtube is on how to get it off ? Could anyone offer advice on how to line the pedal up such that it slots into the hook please ? I need the car for work tomorrow

The plug has a release donít try to pry off find the release. I had to tilt the pedal quite high to engage the fork fitting into the back of the pedal on putting back together and then bring down slowly into position keeping tension on the pedal at the top to keep engaged. Another note on fitting I hid the cable completely to the throttle pedal by removing the kick panel with the bonnet release which allowed me to tuck the connector behind carpet, there is a void in the sound insulation to tuck it safely out of sight and returning the plug to the throttle.

I've done this lots of times but quite hard to explain it without doing it, there's definitely a knack to it.

Never had a problem removing the connector I just pinch top and bottom and pull.

Have had issues putting the pedal back on, from memory you have to align the metal bracket in the footwell and the slot in the back of the pedal and then slide it down and towards you so it slots into place on the floor. I know that's not much help but persevere and sooner or later it will just slot into place.
