End Of Warranty Check

HI

Im due to book my 16 plate car in for it's End of Warranty check, MOT and Brake fluid change.

Re the End of warranty check, is there anything i should request to be looked at ?
My alloys are in generally good condition, apart from the odd little bit of bubbling on a couple of them.
Other than that, all seems well.

Thanks in advance DANNY.

Just have a close look at your favorite buttons on the dash. I had the head unit replaced under warranty as two of my buttons had cracked. I understand this is quite common. They were easier to spot in the dark with the backlight lighting up the cracks.

Mine are pictured on this thread....

Anything cosmetic, you will have to find yourself. Mechanical issues, BMW dealer will find.

Check the seals for coming loose at the bottom; two of mine were replaced.

Make sure they test the horn - they missed my low note was not working when mine went in for the same check.

Make sure your steering rack isn't knocking. With the engine off and wheels straight, wiggle the steering wheel. If you hear/feel any knocking, get it replaced. It was on mine

In fact, even if it isn't knocking, tell them that it is, just to make sure you have a banker for the time it starts

Ok i've now got a small list of things i think need addressing during the End of Warranty check.

Do i need to contact the dealer before i arrive, in case parts need ordering or just tell them the list when i arrive ?

Small amount of corrosion on 2 alloys (don't know if its enough to warrant replacement but thought i'd ask)
3 buttons of my favourite dash buttons have cracks in them
1 door seal is cracked and split

No point in telling them beforehand, just when you get there. They have to inspect and confirm, take pictures and send to BMW for approval.

Regards alloys, if you've got any kerbing, then your claim might be rejected or a contribution required
