Hello gang,

I'm Andy. I'm a 38 yo business owner in Western Australia. I run http://flashtuned.com.au and this is my F30 328i M Sport which I purchased with 30,000kms on it in November last year (2018).

Since then its stayed largely untouched. Barring a K & N Drop in filter about a month ago. This is quite unusual for me as most of my cars barely last a week before something is modified. My last car (Golf GTi) didn't even get home from me picking it up. I drove it straight to the workshop and had it lowered.

That all being said it was only a matter of time before I started the process. I knew what I was going to do before I bought the car to be honest.

So here she is, My Alpine White 328i M Sport sitting at the dealer waiting to be delivered to me


However now the fun starts because today - these arrived

Although a bit on the heavy side, OEM 403M wheels do look great on your car. Congrats!

Yeah, absolutely.

Trunk spoiler and new black grills are sitting in my study.

Also ER Down Pipe sitting in my garage waiting for when I decide which tune to use

Im interested to see how they look once Ive got the ride height sorted.

Options Im toying with - spacers or not, recolour the wheels or not, buy all new wheels.

All of these are up for consideration right now.

Ah nice! I recommend BM3 as a tuning platform if you're taking suggestions. Been using it for a while and love it.

Hi! Just picked up a 328I aswell! Question is, how much did the coils set you back if you dont mind me asking. Its got H&r Springs in standard shocks at the moment.

Hi Lance, coilovers were $1050 delivered. Just had them fitted at Pedders in Cockburn today for a great price too, including wheel alignment.

Ill be posting pics and a ride / handling appraisal tomorrow.

With only previous cars to compare against I can say the quality of these coilovers are great. Ride is better than my old MKV Golf GTI Pirelli which ran on Eibach Sportlines. Probably a bit more body roll than my Golf had, but firm and flat enough for me, and a big improvement over stock. Breaking feels better too with less lurch forwards.

The guys at Pedders had no complaints in fitting them, so clearly the fit is spot on too.

Not many F30 pics running around with these fitted, so hopefully this serves to demonstrate these beautys are a great alternative to KW V1s, STs or lower end Bilsteins.

In other news. Very shortly after I had gone stage 2. I made a decision to go a little more aggressive and now the engine is out of the car with the plan to rebuild it.

Unlike others my engine was low Kms and did not have any failure prior to me deciding to rebuild. So yes another Forged Internal N20 build is coming. And this one is in Australia too.

Bit of an update.

Car is currently undergoing some pretty major upgrades all in a very concentrated fashion.

As I mentioned in my previous posts we had only just gone stage 2 a few weeks prior when I decided that it was time to push on with the full shebang.

Anyway here is the update:

1. Forged Rods and CP Carillo Pistons arrived
2. Engine is stripped and has been delivered to the engine machine shop for some extensive work. This will include new cast sleeves, dowels to semi close the deck, notching of the block for the rods. Also polishing the crank, checking clearances and prepping for the new ARP studs (gosh was that a mission to find ones that suited... Far OUT ). Using ACL Tri Metal Race Bearings.
3. Diff is also out. I pulled the trigger and got MFactory to supply an LSD kit for the car. So we'll be working on getting the diff machined open for this. Worth noting we are now stocking MFactory at Flashtuned. Actually worth noting that all major parts in this build are available through Flashtuned. Sorry had to give myself a free plug somewhere in this
4. Kate Cool Oil Cooling Kit dropped. This kit is excellent, what a great kit off the shelf for the N20. Combined with a thermostat (Mishi or Mosselman) its perfect. Looks amazing too
5. Can't remember the other stuff at the moment, so much going on with it. I'll add to this later no doubt

Also I want to shout out to some other members on here who have been amazing contributors in planning this. Huge thanks to Harry @Navardi and also Ken Le Roux (sorry Ken no idea what your Bimmerpost nickname is)
