Did you ever find what BMW dealer location 08696 was?

I thought if it's an independent ( regardless of whether it's a specialist or not) it shows as code 0000. Only bmw dealers have a code?

Anybody got ID 08693 in their service history and know which dealer it is? It was the supplying dealer of my AUC and just interested where the PDC was carried out.

Can't find a list of IDs anywhere and only know the following IDs so far:

05334 = Partridge BMW Chandlers Ford
10521 = Wayside BMW Milton Keynes

Thanks
Dont know if this helps ( but hopefully will help someone). My car was advertised with full service history but this was only through the idrive for evidence. I'm a bit old school (or ocd like) and prefer to also have a nice folder of paperwork. I rung my local Dealer and they told me over the phone where the services were carried out. To my pleasant surprise they even emailed me anonymised pdf's which detailed which garage did the work. This has now been printed so I get to have my paperwork too. I personally think its brilliant that its centralised on a a national database. Unlike other companies that can only update you on history from their own franchises. If you arent as lucky with your dealer, there is someone onn Ebay that provides the history for a tenner- god knows how he gets it

Nope, however I did come across some anomalies, 16328 appears to be Sytner High Wycombe but they also appear as 05382

So, not sure what's going on there.

21972 is BMW Park Lane.

I'm looking at buying another BMW privately so got the seller to send me proof of the full service history. He sent me a video of the iDrive menu showing a service done every year (due to the mileage) from 2013 - 2020 in green (done on time) all at dealer code 21972.

So I just rang BMW to confirm this and they said it's only had a BMW service in 13, 14 & 15 and nothing recorded on the BMW database since. The first 2 were at Park Lane and the last 1 at Battersea (which would surely have a different dealer code!?)

Obviously alarm bells are now ringing. I mean if it was simply done at an independent specialist after that rather than BMW then that wouldn't bother me but the fact they all show as 21972 when that can't be the case seems very dodgy!

I know specialists who have access to the BMW database use dealer code 00000. I also know you can technically add your own service data using software that can be downloaded online but can you also input your own dealer code on that software to make it look like the car has been serviced at 21972?

Battersea is BMW Park Lane service centre. I don't believe they have any servicing facilities at the Park Lane W1 site at all. The other Park Lane service centre is in Park Royal.

I would imagine that the service ID for Park Royal & Battersea would be different.

When you called BMW, was that BMW UK customer services or the dealer themselves?

I've found that if you email them at Customer.Information@bmwfin.com with the reg / VIN of the car they are quite helpful at providing the dealer info, dates & mileages.

Cheers for that. I rang the number on Google for Park Lane and they were asking whether I wanted to be put through to Park Royal or Battersea. When I explained I was looking to find out who the dealer code was for they put me through to BMW customer service who said the first 2 were done at Park Lane which I assume must be Park Royal then from your reply and then the last 1 Battersea.

I've just looked into the HU Service Manager software and it looks like you can put in whatever dealer code you want so I reckon that's what this seller has done (or he has bought the car like this and realised and is now trying to sell it on). Luckily BMW can easily verify this so I'm glad I checked to save myself from buying a lemon. I am surprised the software lets you enter your own dealer code though, I thought you would only be able to use 00000.

This is disappointing. I was just getting used to and liking the idrive service history.

Maybe the paper book was more secure!
