Yes, just dismantle and secure the plug. (watertight).
The spring will force the valve open at all times.

Incredible sensitivity. I tried once driving without the exhaust after the cat.
Noisy but I couldn't feel it.
Got the Akrapovic on now, and those estimated 7,1 HP I don't feel either.

But all the things tried out sounded better than stock.

you'll never feel difference with an exhaust unless you run a full system 3"inch straight

Yes thanks, I know :-)
I actual are preparing for either that or a race cat. You should't by any chance have done some noise testing on yours?

Should run fine with a slight increase in noise.

The level of noise completely depends on the design of your new muffler.
If both pipes are running the same way through, there is no increase in dB.
You'll know if the level of noise increases with the valve open. If it does and it's too much for just cruising you migth wan't to keep the open/close function intact.

It doesn't cause a CEL but it does show a coded error that the dealer could see if plugged in.

Switch on the engine, still in Park select sport+ and push the gas over 3000 rpm and unplug the muffler's wire from the exhaust.
You need a friend that does that while over 3000 rpm.
I did this with my 340 performance exhaust.

The valve is open over 3000 rpm so you unplug over that range.
After that all Two pipes will work, the sound will be louder.
No ECU flash on my f32.
Now I have eisenmann exhaust with 4 pipes with no valve. It's the RACE one.
So nothing to unplug and of course no ECU flash...
I bought the CAR with stock exhaust. Then replaced with 340 M performance exhaust..better sound
Now run with Eisenmann...now it flows as I like.
M performance exhaust is on sale..Someone interested?

Aha, well I'm crossing the river instead of travelling all the way to the spring.

Ref. yours above. Do you still run the with the coil and all stashed away underneath to avoid any ecu warning?

Guys in my car both pipes are open all the time... I know because I put my hand on each one while at idle... Is there a reason for this?

Btw I havent messed around with the valve so it should close right? Not errors either on the computer...

When cold starting the engine in comfort you should hear the valve do the open/close sequence. I hear this every time.
Could be different on the M235, but i doubt it.

400 euro ?

when the car is closed and engine is off, the valve is open......

but if you remove the plug the engine ecu trigger one error visible only via advanced diagnostic of engine

i think this error appears when the car run on eco pro
