Michelin Pilot Sport 4 vs Pilot Sport 4 S vs Cup 2
Michelins often mentioned around these parts. Just spotted this on YT.

Without watching it I bet I can guess:
PS4 = single compound so the cheapest. PS4S = Best Performance road tyre available. Cup 2 = Only good in the dry and silly wear rate. |

Sounds like the PS4 would be the ideal fit for the F30 on UK roads given our climate (certainly in the North) and poor road surfaces. Can imagine with a more performance orientated derivative (40i / M3) you'd probably want to 4S though.
Good vid

Good vid - thanks for posting.
I really relate Michelin tyres and have run them on all of my BMWs. Going from MPSS to 4S I've found the 4S to be more sensitive to tyre pressures, especially on the front. Now running 2.6 Bar rather than 2.5 and the tramlining has reduced nicely. Grip and traction are both a significant step up from the MPSS, although I find turn-in and directional stability on the front to not be quite so good.

You have to wait until your wife goes to bed before you can watch a tyre review ?? :

Erm, happy, possibly not, but certainly wouldn't say anything! Hell I have one set of wheels and tyres in the garage, she has 2.
