Installed the Bimmer8 module here in the UK and is working really well.

I don't know how the module/car works but here this UK/MPH version is flawless - my car is the F34 Sport + NBT 2020-2 maps + 6WA.

If you guys ordered the UK version to drive in the USA, please note that we don't have 15, 25, 35, 65 speed limits and this is probably the reason why you are not able to see x5 symbols - maybe the developers have not realised this yet?

This is of course just my theory, there may be other limitations but to any of you considering this Bimmer8 module, I suggest you order the version applicable to your region.

That is a good call out, I finally drove on a road with 35mph limit today and it was telling me 40. Sorry I’ve been busy recently, bought a house and am Presently moving from the rental into our new place.
Sorry folks, it seemed to work when I installed it. I’ll leave it installed as a novelty item, because to me that is what it is, just a gadget.

About Bimmer8 device again ... oh man! even 10k likes are less for this seller. They sent me an email 3days back saying they fixed few things in the device and included a shipping number for the device to test it in my car.

Got the device today morning, installed it and drove for 30miles and everything is working perfectly fine

20miles sign check,
35 check,
45 check,
50 check,
55 check,
70 check,
no speed limit available - few roads default to 20 and on few roads shows 3 dots - this is expected so check,

driving above speed limit - red line trace on 6wb cluster check,

head up display check,

exact resemblance of US speed limit sign check (earlier it was not. The black border was missing and I mentioned that to them as a feedback and they fixed it now)

speed limit changes as soon as I cross the speed limit sign check.

so verdict ... simply awesome 👌

Let me know if you guys want me to test anything else. I will try to take a video tonight

Just installed my adapter from AliExpress.

BMW 116i, 2012, CIC unit, ilevel from 2013.

Working perfectly!

The aliexpress unit can be used with cic!

Of course after I buy the Romania SLI emulator, the Bimmer8 one (that I previously bought) gets fixed. Ugh. I just got the Romania SLI emulator in the mail today, so I'll be splicing it with the Bimmer8 one tomorrow.

I contacted bimmer8 and asked about getting the fixed version. They are dancing around the issue and not really providing any clear answer.

I'm gonna pass for now.

Can you confirm that the navi directions (arrows) are showing on the 6wb with the unit installed? Put a destination on the navi to test this.

Bad news. They had promised to send me a unit with the x5 mph fix. They didn't! This unit displays 20 30 40 etc.
Im pissed.

My bad! It does work!! I was driving on a non marked road so defaulted to 20. Also main road outside is 40 so I got confused (I could have sworn it was a 45 lol).
Drove to a 45 and it's fine!

I have completed kafas2 retrofit successfully so no longer need Bimmer8 SLI emulator or the Chinese one(SLI displayed in kmph with red circle).

They both are up for sale if interested pm me.
