Why is it that you can get map updates illegitimately rather than BMW download manager? Example Europe West Next 2022-1 is out there but not on BMW download manager. Paid for map updates for year and no updates since November 2020-1 to date, usually at least 2 updates a year.

What year is your car? older system ive heard have flakey updates.

My 2017 ID6 business nav system gets 4 a year (currently on 2021-3)

Having the same issues with Connecteddrive at the moment, they are sending the details to Germany after i said it was not good enough not having an update since the November 2020s 2021-1 update. As usual a pathetic faff from Connecteddrive.

Thanks for emailing ConnectedDrive about updating your maps.

Please follow the instruction below to get the latest Map Update.

Firstly, please log into your ConnectedDrive account and go to “My Vehicle” > “Vehicle Detail” > “Map Update” then scroll down to the bottom of the screen to Click “Manual Map Update” > install the “Windows BMW Update Manager”.

Then click “Download Map” – Close down the “BMW Update Manager” and then double click on the downloaded file, which will open back up with the “BMW Update Manager” with a “Download Map” button.

You can then put the map update onto a 64GB memory stick, not an external hard drive (format FAT 32, NTFS or EXFAT). If FAT32 isn’t working, please try format NTFS or EXFAT.

Please also make sure when performing the download that you’re following the steps and criteria below:
View the size of the Map Update when downloading and see which size will be most sufficient to fit the whole file onto.
We don’t recommend using a SanDisk USB as this particular brand isn’t always compatible with this service – We recommend using a Kingston USB.

You can then plug the USB into yours car where the update will begin. If you still experience issues after following these steps, please email in screenshots of the errors that come up and I’ll be able to raise this to the Technical Support Team to get it investigated and resolved.

Phoned Connected Drive services on receipt and asked why they didn't answer my original questions response was "We don't Know" you will just have to wait till Download manager updates.
