ACS Springs on an F31 335d xDrive

I've had a quote for these, fitted - £629. Seems pricey?

They are £369 to buy the springs alone https://shop.ac-schnitzer.co.uk/susp...rom-4387-p.asp - but near enough that price again to fit? Or maybe that is the going rate....

Does that include an alignment?

Say £100 for the alignment so £160 to fit doesn't sound too bad. The rears are very quick to do, the fronts are a little more involved but bread and butter for any decent garage.

Check the price of Eibach springs too. It's common knowledge that Eibach makes many springs for ACS and the specs of their products for specific cars are often identical. Don't want to pay for a brand name if there is an identical lower cost product.

I've seen the Eibach v ACS v H&R springs debate many a time on this forum

I paid £700 at BMW dealership in 2018 for ACS springs fitted including alignment, your quote seems fair enough I'd say.

Apparently MStyle in London Romford fits for a flat rate £90 if you buy the springs though them. So £437 (ish depending on what model) most likely without alignment.
I am not sure what to believe in what a “good” fitting price seeing as there is such a discrepancy.

I don't think they sell ACS though do they?

I'm not sure why you included H&R in that statement. That's apples and oranges. Eibach are only about 10% stiffer than stock while H&R springs are about 30% stiffer. They wouldn't be confused with each other. H&R makes high quality products but I'm not a fan of their springs for the rough roads in my area. Theyd be teeth rattling.

Ah, they only seem to list F32, F33, and F36... and E's.

Drop them a line- as they are an authorise ACS partner. Just not sure about their fitting skills judging by the price.

I see you're in Hertfordshire, have you tried RTEC shop? They supplied fitted my Eibach Pro Kit for £420 all in (a while ago now), this didn't include alignment. Dropped the car off at 9am, they were done by midday.

Yeah, it was RTEC that quoted me £629... I've seen some 20" wheels that I want to get and fit at the same time as the springs, wonder how reluctant they'd be to fit them if I didn't buy them from there....

They shouldn't have a problem, they might charge you minimum labour which is half an hour, I remember my price included them fitting my front lip which I supplied. Worth asking the question.

ACS you’re paying for the image. They are Eibach springs at x2 the price. All the info is available on this forum about TUV approval, their springs rate, even Eibach stamp on ACS document that confirms they are identical. Save yourself the money
