My bad...in the 35d, it's the8HP70 rated to 700nm from ZF.
Fits the 35d's 630nm from factory better...
Point is that with the tranny map, the tranny will not limit the engine until 1000nm.
And yes, it might result in more tear and wear.
But as long as you have some respect for the car, change the oil and filter regularly I don't think there's a big risk at this.
My former e91 330d was mapped to 670nm and had a similar tranny map and it has now over 500.000 km on the clock without issues

Yes, the experience has been very good with them. Since CPI is still so new I think you will benefit greatly from getting some focused expert attention to dial in your system. They are an MHD platform shop - is that the flash you're using?

This trans tune is amazing! Stage 4 has the drivability of stage 3 but once you move the shifter to the left the fun begins. It keeps the revs high and it has really aggressive shift points.

It's the only tune that would make me keep my car for longer than I anticipated and their customer service is top notch.

No issues so far, only smiles.

Money well spend in my honest opinion
Stage 4???
Sorry, I realized too late that it was for b58 but you guys will get it soon and when you do.... you'll see what I'm talking about

Quick question - has anybody used the MHD Wifi Adaptor option to flash XHP Trans tune? The pamphlet seems to say that you can use Apple products for the flash, but the mhd wifi adaptor says you can only use an android. Just curious if I can buy the MHD Wifi adaptor and use my apple products and call it a day rather than getting the android device, obd/dcan, and usb/otg cable.

I have used the MHD Wi-Fi adapter and can confirm that it works. But I used it with an android device, can't speak to the Apple compatibility.

I went back to stage 2 from stage 3.

In halv throttle and manual gearing its just slams in the gears..so damn hard. Full throttle or less is just fine. Hard shift is off in app.

Anybody feels the same ?

Those of you with both xHP and a flash tune, if you could keep just one, which would it be?

I have been on xHP stg 3 since 5,000 miles and my car currently has 17,000 miles on it. I have xdrive as well and so far no problems to report.

Shift points

I've been running stage 3 for about 2 weeks, almost always in Sports+. My big complaint is how the car shifts when left in automatic mode. It shifts at or around 2000rpm at mid-throttle around town. It then drops even further out of boost in the next gear. I've tried pushing the shift points up by 50% (which should be 3000 rpm?), but I'm still not happy with it. Ideally the car would never drop out of the boost range when it grabs the next gear. Anyone have a fix for this?

Without seeing exactly what's going on it's a little tough to comment, but my first thought is that although xHP adjusts the logic in the transmission, it still has adaptive logic to read how aggressively you're driving and select shift points accordingly. If you're accelerating and decelerating aggressively, it should read that input and keep your rev range higher and tighter. If you're driving in traffic, it's not going give you the same 'track mode' type shifts- nor I think would you want it to.
Does that make sense, or am I misunderstanding?

yea I try stage 1 and lost my pops and bangs in manual shifting

Stage 2 is on its way again...flassh in 15 sec with MHD Wifi adapter

XHP Trans Tune - Experiences and reviews?

Before I begin I want to say I purchased the super 8 license. I daily the the stage 3 flash and the stage 3 flash license is "stock" , I haven't found time to mess with the parameters yet.

1. Absolutely ! Well worth the $350+ tax spent.

2. So far so good although I've only driven a thousand miles give or take

3. I would absolutely recommend it.

P.S I have MHD so after I installed I had to re flash and check the "xhp flashed 8AT" option so the tunes can work harmoniously

That is for the MHD tune not to restrict torque > now you get whatever the tune gives you and not cut at the stock transmission limits

This is one of the "problem" I can relate to. The caracter of the car is very different to original..when you dont think the car will shift you push more throttle..suddenly the car shift and like you can't drive the car. Now when I get the costum tuna its more noticble..its getting worse.

Driving more aggresive its easier..but crusing is a mess

I have a Dinantronics Elite V2 installed. Would there be any issues if I flash xHP (and xDelete for that matter)?

Yeah st3 in direct is very messy, it shifts way to early and when you are not wot it changes last gear possible and you cant accelerate normally.Have to smash it to the ground and its really a mess.In S mode is perfect so im happy overall
