BMW's lineup is becoming wayyyyyyy too convoluted.
Too many models that accomplish the same task.

How does BMW plan to sell 4 door cars in the 1/2 series, the 3 series, the 4 series, the 5 series, the 6 series and the 7 series? All of them look like slightly larger versions of the series below, and I cant imagine the vehicles will be substantively different in any significant way. I have to ask myself, what's the point?

Your guys are nuts, why is everyone moaning about more models? More models are good for everyone!
Niche's are where its at, and although it might cannibalize other series, its ok, they will still sell every one they make (except for the 3er and 5er GT, don't get me started on that crap)... I don't see it as "diluting" I see it as "exclusifying." Lets just think about it... Say in the e90 body style that BMW sold, I have no idea, 1,000,000 units over its life. With all of the new f models coming out, maybe they will only sell 600,000 f30's, but now they will also sell 600,000 4er GC's. Sure they might share a lot of parts (news flash all BMW's share a lot of parts) but now they have overall increased sales, while still managing to come down in volume on each model making them less readily available. What does this do? This keeps initial sales prices high at the dealer, and then helps keep resale prices high throughout the life of the vehicle(s). As I said in a previous post, bring me my e46 sized M2 GC soon please!

3 Series with have the Sedan, Touring, GT and the M3 Sedan. 4 Series will have the Coupe, Gran Coupe, Cabrio, M4 Coupe, M4 Gran Coupe and M4 Cabrio. Btw, the renders look amazing. I'm sticking with the coupe, but this looks really good too.

Oh, my...! Just perfect. Thank you for these... I'd like a higher resolution version to put on my desktop as inspiration to work harder.

Between now and then, if something happens to my e46, I'll buy....... another e46... And when this hopeful e46 sized M2-GC comes about, I'll still be keeping my e46...

Nice effort on the PS, but you can see the rear door line is way off. It looks way more dynamic in the spy pic.

There's no doubt BMW would remain successful but all this is to be even more successful. I'm interested to see how sales will differ with all these models. If the whole point is to attract more sales, but the 4-Series equals 3-Series coupes from the E92, what happens then?
