Pure Stage 2 Install on xDrive

F32 xDrive

I called pure today and they said you do not have to remove or lower the sub frame during R&R of the stock turbo. However, I read an post from Pure in 2015 that said they had to lower the sub frame.

Which is it?

It shouldn't be much different on X-drive versus RWD.. At least not in terms of install costs..

It definitely is different. Anything on the X drive system is a PIA compared to RWD when getting under there save maybe and that's a strong maybe, the DP and FMIC. When I went to pick up my car after PS2 install, the shop service manager said it takes them way longer than RWD due to the components of the system. Which explains the average higher cost of install on the x drive vs RWD.

on downpipes yes, 100% takes a little longer but the basic install is the same on either.

I had mine done and my garage did not drop the subframe.

Took 12 hours total and all you need to do is remove everything on the coolant reservoir side and an engine mount.

How has the pure stage 2 held up? Has it been worth the upgrade? Thanks!
