Seat-belt Warning?
Hey guys,
So I've done all the coding that's included in the coding sheets on the forum, and still no success. In my F32, the passenger seat-belt warning never comes on, which is frustrating because I hate when my friends slack off when it comes to putting it on. Anyone have any ideas to why this isn't working? Thanks

Jeez, how big is your phone? My MacBook is the threshold before it goes off.

Could I be missing a sensor piece? I checked realoem for my F10 due to the same problem, in the seat diagram it showed a type of pad that I think senses if a person is sitting or not.

Correct the passenger seat has a occupancy pressure mat. If a iPhone 6+ is setting it off it needs to be recalibrated or replaced.

Can't find it on realoem. Shouldn't it be standard or is this a BMW regional thing? Would it be easy to reach?

F30 passenger seat belt sign not showing.
Just noticed that the passenger seat belt sign never shows up on the dashboard when a passenger is on the seat and hasn't buckled up. Would this mean just a coding change? Or would this require a replacement?
Any help is appreciated. |

Mine regularly goes off when I accelerate, then brake for a turn, with my wallet, phone, and a bag with two donuts in it. The combination of those items is what does it. You may say I should eat less donuts but I don't need that kind of negativity in my life.

Mine has gone off with a particularly large load of groceries on the seat, but only a couple of times, never with a modest load, even when it includes a gallon of milk.

my phone or groceries would set my passenger side off also. Before I coded it out I just plugged the seat belt in on that side so I didn't have to hear it.
I thought a phone setting it off was a bit excessive lol but sure enough! |

If a phone sets it off then something's out of whack. I don't know what the minimum weight is for the sensor to engage but it's definitely measured in pounds, not ounces.
