Evolve remote remap

Anybody has used the remote remap from Evolve? Sounds very interesting. I would love to hear some reviews or feedback.

I would be interested in this as well if someone has some experience. Like the thought of being able to go back to stock as and when needed.

Maybe we can arrange a group buy of some sort.

What car do you have?

F33 420i 2019. I’m picking it up in the next week. It’s on a lease so the ability to turn it back to stock is a big draw for me.

Tossing up between this and BootMod3.

Bootmod3 looks good and is cheaper than this even with the maps added in.

Bootmod has a big following. Not that much cheaper though.

Mine is a n57 Diesel engine and unfortunately bootmod doesn't support it.

Nobody here has used this?

Any reviews for the evolve map for the x35d n57 engine?

I'm interested in a remap through evolve. Group buy is a shout.

me too.
i follow evolve on their youtube channel, clearly hugely knowledgeable decent bunch of guys.
however what puts me off it is not getting dyno runs done.

i recently emailed Simon at Emaps as someone recommended him on this forum, and he quoted £349 + £60 for before + after dyno run.

So not sure at the moment, i would much rather have a before+after dyno run to get real evidence of the effect of the remap, purely out of interest too.

how about a group buy with Emaps instead, if he discounts?!

I was contemplating Evolve and Simon at Emaps. I am swaying more towards Evolve, I'm sure they have a dyno facility whereas Simon doesn't? Unless I'm completely mistaken?

Cost of Simons map is more competitive but Evolve offers more of a performance enhancement (on paper). BUT if he offers a group buy with a nice discount I may sway the other way.

Either way, I don't think you could go wrong.

I am happy to go with either of them. I am tempted by the price of Simon, but the remote evolve remap is convenient to put the map back on if you need to take it to the dealers. If we can get a discount for the remote remap from evolve it is a very good deal.

All of them apply a map that they already have or change your map using know values so the dyno is more of a proof than anything else. They don't really adapt the map to the specific car.

Depending on the car the feeling will be clear. I am not after numbers just a better experience.

But I want to save some money so I would love to organise a group buy with either.

I am planning to get one done sooner rather than later. Let me know what you decide.

I want to have it done as well.

We need to see who is in so we can contact Evolve and Simon with the numbers.

Happy with Evolve on my 335d, but feel the remote thing is a bit pricey for me.

It is 100 pounds more. If you think about fuel cost to get there an time it is more intriguing. Also, the ability to remove and add the map yourself is quite good.

How are you finding the evolve map on your 335d? Is it the f30? What hp/torque did you get? Give us a small review please.

Evolve have informed me that there is no dyno facility as they have recently moved. Priced me at £404.10 this includes forum discount and £50 off as they have no dyno. Perhaps this will tempt you to drive up rather than do it remotely.

I may be in on a group purchase. I'd favour Evolve over anyone else personally, but the figures on their site worry me a bit for my 435d... Their max torque figures look worryingly high as I didn't want to stress the gearbox too much.

I've been contemplating More-BHP in Crewe as I've had a few good recommendations from friends, and they do seem to tweak the map on the dyno to fit each car.

I also like how the owner has a 640d as his test car, which has the same engine as the 435d.

Anyone comment on More-BHP?

I can't comment on Simon or evolve. I can however recommend Avon tuning.
just had my 335d done with them. the power is 364 and torque is 698. very good outfit professional and well run.
I wanted to keep figures within safe values for transmission longevity.
I have a much more liner power delivery now. cost was 399 for remap with one foc reapplication of map if needed.
I paid 50 on top for the Dyno before and after the map.
also free courtesy Polo GTI or fiesta
I am very happy with the work and customer service.
