In which case, given St Albans is a nightmare for parking, you're better off looking at somewhere on the edge with a decent car park I'd guess?

Prae Wood Arms could work for that. The Wicked Lady in Wheathamstead another option perhaps?

I've booked a table at The Rose and Crown in Sandridge - reviews from Mrs W and online are that it's a nice pub with decent food.

See you there from 6pm onwards on the 13th. I'll PM you my number.

Just bumping this to the top in case anyone has found themselves with a spare hour or two in the locality...

Shall I bring the Mini or the F90?

I'm hoping to pop along. Should I bring the new 330e or the M4?!

I'd bring a scooter if I were you. The street that pub is on is about 3 feet wide and there's not much parking nearby 😂

Actually on a serious note, there is a 24 hour car park just up the road, in front of the Roman museum. Parking on the street near the pub will be tricky.

You know there's only one correct answer to that question

I think you're thinking of the wrong place. It's the Rose & Crown in Sandridge, not St Albans !

The pub does have a car park, and if that's full there is a car park at the Sandridge football club just across the road.

You've saved my bacon. I nearly hosted the world's smallest forum meet up by myself there. Even handier for where I live actually. See you tomorrow

Enjoy the forum meet tonight, chaps. I will raise a glass to you all from a bar in Bristol.

I'm sure you will have some good reflections on the election. I think one of my mates may have voted Corbyn, so I'm going to enjoy that.

I think this is one meet where cleaning the car will be bloody futile - it'd be filthy again after 2 miles!
