335i order timeline
Ive seen a few threads where 335i orders are taking a lot longer than the 328i. I figured I would start a thread dedicated to 335i orders. So post your 335i timelines!

I ordered 335i march 15 and by April 5th it was done production. Then I realized sport line in Canada doesn't have sports suspension and I had to reorder it! Now ordered new April 18th and no change in status yet. Big disappointment from expecting it early may to now think mid June.

I ordered my 335i Sport Line on Saturday (4/21), but the dealership had no allocations. I emailed today for an update on the production number, and was told that they get their allocations the last week of this month or first week of May. If he doesn't get a production number by then, then it will be another month. I've been quoted an 8-12 week wait, so I hope it doesn't end up outside of that window.

My issue is that I don't have a production number nor do I know when I'll get one. That's the tough part now. Once I get that then I'll have a better Idea of estimating the delivery time-frame.

For anyone who is SA build headed to the West coast, there is supposedly a ship leaving Durban on the 28th of this month to arrive June 13th... Hopefully everyone makes it aboard.

So, whether you do ED or non ED, its still about 12 weeks for a 335. But if you are non ED, it could be longer since it comes from the dealer allocations, where as ED are not. God, I hope this clears up after the switch to the new model year.

ED allocations of MY12 for F30 are drying up, it is hard to get unless people take delivery in August for MY13

I read somewhere that they ship out once a month, hopefully that's not true, but if so I would say the next ship would sail May 28th and arrive in Port Hueneme July 13th? Next time I order a BMW I'll make 100% sure its being built in Germany only because of the long wait

335i Sport Line timeline
Ordered 3/15
Production start 4/26, expected completion 5/11 in SA - had a month wait for dealer allocation. They are telling me end of May for Houston delivery - I am expecting more like mid-June.

Looks like I didn't make that ship that left Durban on the 28th.. Damn! I'm going to give it two more weeks and if I haven't gotten on a ship I will consider canceling my order and waiting for M-sport. I've been doing research, and if WWL is the only shipping company that BMW uses to get the south african cars up to Bremerhaven, my car likely will not arrive to the west coast till Mid July(5 month wait!), and thats just an estimate (could possibly be august). Anybody who is in production right now at the SA plant might want to seriously considering waiting for M-sport. That is unless, I am wrong with my hypothesis that BMW only uses WWL to ship the cars to Bremerhaven. I've heard that they can ship direct from South Africa, but have yet to get any confirmation on this.
