Post Apex FL-5 Fitment Questions

Hey guys! I've dug through many posts and I couldn't find much on the setup I have in mind. Looking for some tips on fitment so any help would be appreciated especially if you've run a setup similar to this!

I will have adjustable coils, camber plates but I'm not looking to run more than -3 camber.

Trying to run 18x9.5 +28 front on 255/40/18 and 18x9.5 +22 in the rears on 275/35/18. Not trying to run square setup because I want the deep profile in the rear. What size spacers will I need? Thanks!

won't work sorry dude. Far too aggressive for the f30 chassis.

19x8.5+30mm 245/40/19, front and 9.5+35mm 265/35/19 rear is pretty much as aggressive as you can go with the f30 without crazy modifications to body.

Even if I'm running 18's, not 19's?

it'd be easier if you do 18x9 +30 front and 18x10.5 +40 rear with one of these tire size combinations...

255/40/18 & 285/35/18...OR 245/40/18 & 275/35/18...OR 245/40/18 & 285/35/18

it's your offsets that are messing with your setup, not really the tires. They will be sticking outside of the fenders quite a bit. Like 14mm in the front and 13mm in the rear.

18x9.5 +28 square with 255/40 is doable. Will require a bit of camber all around obviously.

Happy to jump in here. The 18x9.5" ET28 and 18x9.5" ET22 is a bit too aggressive for the F30 chassis, and will require serious modifications to your fenders to fit properly. We typically recommend going with our FL-5 18x8.5" ET35 wheels as a square setup for customers looking for a direct fit. Paired with 245/40-18 tires, this is a great direct fitment.

If you are willing to run some negative camber up front, and a fender roll in the rear, you can get the 18x9" ET30 with 245/40-18 tires to fit up front, and the 18x9.5" ET35 with 255/40-18 tires in the rear. Here are some recent pictures from a recent customer running that fitment:

I just put on some Apex EC-7's 18x9 et31 with 245/40/18's all around. I'm 100% stock and was able to fit them without any issues. They run very flush against the fenders. In order for you to run the your wheels you'll have to stretch tire and run camber to get them to fit.

Those photos have how much camber upfront?

This customer is currently running stock camber with this setup, but is on aftermarket coilovers, so lowering the car will give a touch of natural camber. Very minimal camber is needed to run the 18x9" ET30 up front with a 245 tire. Going with a 255 tire will require additional negative camber to be dialed in.

Thanks. I'm not sure how much camber will be come visible to the naked eye, but his set up looks superb.

It's very much like what I have in mind for my own vehicle, but with probably 5mm of added clearance fender to ground (Looking to stay around 25.5"-25.75").

Does the added clearance negate the need for more camber to fit a 255 tire at all? I do plan to attend HPDEs in the future just to give you some more detail as to my use case, as well.

If you know the clients FTG measurements in the photos that would be greatly appreciated as well.

Can I see some pics? Thinking about doing 18 or 17x9 et30 on 245/45 so they should fit in theory right?

So what is the widest tire for FL-5? Is it 18x9" ET30 with 245/40-18 tires to fit up front, and the 18x9.5" ET35 with 255/40-18 tires in the rear?

widest FL-5 setup would be 18x9 ET30 front, 18x10.5 ET40 rear with 255/40/18 & 285/35/18 or 245/40/18 & 275/35/18 if you feel the 1st combo is too beefy and want a slight stretch to tuck the shoulder.
