Burble with stock DP

I am planning on going stage 1 BM3 soon, I wish I can go stage 2 but im moving to California soon so I cannot go catless. I know with BM3 I can adjust the burbles but if I have a stock downpipe/cat would any increase in the burbles eat the cat? I know turning the aggression up all the way on the stock cat will destroy it but do I have to leave the burbles exactly the same as stock?

You should be fine with mild burbles. MPPK adds more aggressive burbles than BM3's mild and that still uses the stock DP.

Delete your resonator and you'll get more pops and burbles with the stock downpipe.... No drone inside the cabin.. Been running resonator delete for a month now and I don't regret it.

Running MHD burbles (medium aggressiveness for 1.5s @ 2k RPMs) with the stock downpipe, resonator delete, and an electronic cutout. I switch to sport half way through the video which is when the burbles are active.

SWEET!!! which cutout did you use? I would do this but closer to the front of the car not far from the dp where the turbo would like this even more.

eBays Finest: https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Inch-76mm...53.m2749.l2649

Had a buddy get it and install exactly where you're looking to do it, sticks down a little but it does work.

In the BM3 Facebook group I have seen some posts regarding life expectancy with the Stock DP + Burbles. Seems that there have not been many reported 'destroyed' downpipes, but it could be a longer term deal.

Don't go full aggressive and you should be totally fine in the grand scheme of things.

you have a 2015, you can definitely go catless for a couple years, California just passed a new law that exempts new cars from getting a smog for 8 years.

i have a 2013 and was about to get mine removed but i have two years left!

What cut out do you have? Any issues with it getting stuck open, closed
or gummed up with carbon? How much was it with all parts installed?

Burbles getting LOUDER

I have the n20 engine, Ever since deleting my muffler(1st) and resonator (2nd) my car pops and bangs keep getting louder. Also starting to get abit of the rotten egg smell, could this be due to me blowing out my cat slowly? I do drive pretty aggressive (letting car rev out and pop) still have my stock downpipe and no tune

Doubtful ....everything you have done is after the Catalytic converter.

How many miles?
Are you still on original spark plugs?

Old post but way to revive it. I'm running BM3 stage 1 and get a decent burble with the exhaust open on sport plus. I have stock DP and exhaust.

Pro Tuning Freaks recommends keeping the burble aggression at 5.6 or below in order to avoid damaging the stock down pipe’s cat.

Emu wonder what OTS is because I have it set there but I'd rather it not last so long. Maybe 5.8 agg? And 2 seconds?
