bmw 2018 330i ecu flash

What's going on guys, I've been looking around different tuning companies and I've found that the ones that give me the most gains are the ones that would flash my ECU. My question here is if I get a ECU flash tune and before i take my car back I flash it back to the stock ECU will my dealer find out. Thanks guys!

There's always a possibility they can see that the ecu was reflashed. It's a risk you take when modding.

+1

Dealer will not care as long as nothing is broken, once you ask them to do a repair they might check and they will probably find it.

Thats why its really important to pick a trusted brand when tuning the car.

If your flash counter doesn't match with the mothership, that may set a flag. Programming Counter IIRC is the value.

This is why reputable bolt ons like dinan or JB4 are very popular. There is risk with these, but there is IMHO much less risk, especially if you have a large failure.

I'm sure Dealerships know to look for slits in the wiring where piggybacks are generally installed. Nothing stays 'secret' given all the forums that get monitored. Hell, just google a term and it'll pull up a forum discussion on a new mod/discovery,etc. It's not brain surgery for BMW to find things out........
