WTB/Borrow Esco Jack stands/jack for depo install (Bay Area)

Hey all,

Planning on swapping out my halogens for depos in the next two weeks (just got them in!!!!), but as this is the first mod I'm doing to the car, I unfortunately don't have any tools (yet)

I think I'll eventually invest in jack stands and a jack, but am prioritizing the other tools required for the swap. Would anyone be willing to let me borrow their jack/jack stands for a weekend? Happy to compensate if you'd like, or buy if you have used ones available.

Also, if anyone has experience with swapping out headlights, I'd love any help! Would be happy to provide food/beer/$$$ if anyone wants to spend a few hours helping out

Thanks!
Natalie

Natalie, a jack and stands are absolutely unnecessary to install headlights. Its a fairly simple and straightforward process, actually. If you really want them, you could get 2 stands and a jack at harbor freight for around $120 total.

I'd recommend instead, an $8 "moving blanket" to put down under the front of your car to lay on

Yeah I've heard they're not necessary but make the process significantly easier

Where in the Bay Area are you? I have a jack and stands (though not Esco), as well as a set of Rhino Ramps, along with most if not all the tools you'd need. Haven't done a headlight swap, but if you're close, I might have some time early this Saturday morning to give you a hand.
