First let me just say I kno there is a lot of info on the board about this and I have been studying and reading for months now but I'm still confused on a few things I'm hoping someone could help me out since now I'm about to build my own wire harness n install. My f30 has halogen headlights and build date is 5-14, I have this PDF but says is only for f30s built from 7-14 and on. Could someone please please PLEASE tell me what would b different. I have been looking on ista and newtis but can't find diffinitive answers also on newtis I can't find the pinouts n wiring diagram for halogen, only xenon and led. My headlights are non adaptive btw and this is the instructions I was gonna follow if someone could again please tell me what would b different from an f30 built 5-14 instead of 7-14 like the PDF says. Thank you!!!

Honest to goodness... also own a 5.14 produced F30 with halogens. Definitely been trying to figure out the smartest lighting upgrade for a few months now... appreciate people's input on their experiences with improving visibility and brightness from stock halogens.

I haven't made the install yet but I kno there are other threads here where ppl went the aftermarket route. I much rather have oem when possible. I still need help on the fem wiring different from pre lci f30 to lci's. Newtis doesn't show lci f30s.

That's f34, I'm talking about f30 lci. Maybe I am missing something.

When u pick the chassis on say realoem u can pick between f30 and f30 lci so obviously there's a difference in parts and trying to find if there's a difference in the fem wiring.

Well after a lot of research and a lot of hard work and headache my pre lci f30 to lci full led headlights is complete. Thanks to everyone that helped n no thanks to those that didn’t. If anyone needs help with similar retro let me know. Could even make u a wire harness if needed. Didn’t install level sensors tho I may at some point. Coded out the vertical aim error n couldn’t b happier.
Things retrofitted everything oem: alarm (with fzd with sensors), 6wa, nbt, touch controller n touch ecu, LCI LED Headlights, auto dim rearview mirror with garage door opener and compas and alarm led.

Retrofits I have parts jus waiting to do: pdc, sport steering with heat, tcb (have tcb that came with nbt I retrofitted, and asd (have ecu jus not sure if worth it)

Anyone need any help with anything listed feel free to hmu, can’t promise I’ll get back to u same day tho.

I assume you had to run new wires from the headlights to somewhere. Could you tell me about that, pls?

Thank you. Yea I ran 3 New wires for each headlight. Power, kcan hi n low. Then I switched two wires on the fem so I could take pin 12 on the headlight connector and moved to pin 8 or 10 I forget off hand but whatever one is the lin. So pin 1 n 2 stay the same, pin 3 is New power line, 8 9 10 is the kcan + n - and lin. The rest of the wires was isolated n tied back.

I was researching for ASD coding and ran into your post about alarm. I have 2014 f30, did not come with alarm and had wanting to add.
Can you share some info how to add oem alarm system ?

Can you tell me what are the differences you had to do in harness if you compare with the official pdf from bmw upgrade that told for cars 07/14?
As I understood the connections on FEM are not the same

This is what I followed. I'm pretty sure the wiring is the same, u just have to change the build date on the fem and rem when coding to 7/15.

where did u put the new wires of the kcan in the fem ( i mean in which plug and in which pin ?)
and what is the code you did ?
Have you added the led headlight option to the vehicle order ? or changed the build date for the fem ?

It works now,
the only problem is that after sometime, it stores a can timeout fault and the mirrors turn indicators turn off.
