Our cars have a 15.8 gallon tank. If you use 2/3 91 and 1/3 E85 with an approximate octane of 115, you wind-up with 99 octane. If you were getting 25 mpg before, you should expect to get 23 with that ratio (assuming a 25% reduction in economy due to the E85). |

I'm pretty new to this forum, i drive a n26 f30. So far it has afe intake and afe scorcher. I found an e85 station about 20 miles away from where i live and i really wanted to see what all the fuss was about. So i pumped a tiny bit over 4 gallons of e85 while my car had half a tank of 91(the highest we can get in CA) and then i filled the rest up with 91 so i'd have a full tank. There wasnt an initiall feeling of more power right away, but once i got back into town all of a sudden i could really feel it.(im guessing it took a little bit for it to fully mix, idk.) The car was smoother at idle, and just incredibly fast. I wanna say at least a 15hp increase and 30lbs torque over the car already having the scorcher... If you have not tried it yet and you have e85 in your area, give it a shot even if you dont have a tune... especially in CA cause we have really terrible gas here.
