I did post in the deals thread as well. Some of the similar deals have cheaper monthly payments but all have either multiple MSDs or down payment (insane on a lease if you ask me).

Thanks again for your input.
No problem. Good luck. I agree that down payment on a lease makes no sense.

Speaking of acquisition and disposition fees. These are, IMO, pretty much BS.

If the acquisition fee were actually based on something, fine. If you purchase a vehicle there is no acquisition fee and yet somehow when you lease it, there's PILES of paperwork (or something) that places a BIG BURDEN on BMW they have to recover $925 to make things "fair."

When you turn it in, they need yet another $350 because it's so much more expensive to handle the paperwork on a lease return than a regular trade in - yeah, right.

It's pretty easy to offer incentives when you've already "padded" the price by $1,250 ($925+$350).

What really ticked me off was my own carelessness. I had a "complete" lease breakdown (in writing) of what I "thought" were all the money issues and it included the acquisition fee BUT there was nothing about a disposition fee. I didn't "catch" the disposition fee when signing off on the final docs because I was in a bit of a hurry and had trusted I was working of a "complete" financial breakdown. While I own that, it didn't/doesn't set well with me because I'm the kind of guy that expects people to be straightforward and have actual settled a labor agreement with a handshake I noticed it a week or so later and seriously thought about making an issue of it but for $350, my time and effort, coupled with the old axiom....."A card laid is a card played," I decided to say screw it. I haven't forgotten.....

(oh, and I'm sure there are other outfits that pull this kind of crap as well)

Many financing fees are bogus, especially on larger items such as homes and cars. Heck even buying tickets online somehow has a "convenience" fee If it makes you feel any better the disposition fee is waived if you buy/lease another new or certified pre-owned BMW.

Does anyone know what the base money factor is these days on leases? I'm looking at a remnant 2015 328i wagons and I'm want to know what the going rate is as I plan to do max MSD's to drive the MF down.

If anyone's gotten some smoking deals lately, let me know!

That's pretty odd as I thought BMWFS allows dealers to mark up the money factor by no more than .0004.

Yeah I made the mistake of not getting it when we were first talking about the car. Im pretty upset and might walk if they dont move it. We had worked leases on like 6 different cars and it was closing time and the payment came out right but I forgot to ask about the residuals. Stupid mistake.

I had two dealers try to sell me on a lease starting with an MF of .00171, so I guess it's within the .0004 markup limits set by BMW, it's still :thumb down for trying it.

What is % of MSRP looking like for 340i? Does 8% plus 1500 credits sound about right?

Good to see you back. Not sure what the market is for the 340 right now. I'm sure others in the name your deal thread would be more helpful.

Yea I'm back lol. I just saw burger tuning posted some HP numbers and I'm really inserted in the 340i over the M3. The m3 residual is just so low compared to when I ordered mine last year.

I can understand. The residuals on the M3 were so high they could only go down.

Can I get some input please? Never leased a car before but I'm looking to upgrade from my 06 330i and I have my eye on a 2015 335i manual. The MSRP is $55,550 and they have it listed all the way down to $42,950. When I punch the numbers into a lease calculator (36 months, 12k a year, 60% residual, 0.00095 MF ((mutiple MSDs))) I get a monthly payment of around $300 w/ around $2500 out of pocket. Anything I'm missing?

Not really. Only fees will raise the price, just make sure they give you those rates.

Why put any money down. Skip the 2k. Pay only the fees up front. if the 2k is the MSD then it wouldn't count as down payment money.
Otherwise great deal!

Okay that's the plan. I wasn't sure if the MSD money counts as money down or not. When I emailed then last year about a different car that was around $44K they tried to get me in a 320i which I don't understand how they can lease a 320i for $350-400. My credit score is just under 800.

MSD is separate from down payment but you get it back at lease end. The monthly cost of the lease is set by how much you are financing over those three years. Tweaking the residual and money factor make a huge difference especially if you negotiate the price down because the residual is based on msrp not the negotiated price. I'm sure there are people paying less for their M3 lease than others are paying for a 335 lease.

That's lame. I can't pass up almost $13k off a factory demo with almost no miles. I was planning on putting a little down to keep the monthly under $350-370 but I know it's better to have that extra $2000-2500 in my pocket instead. Now I just need to see what I can get for my car...
