Who makes the rotors and pads for the M Performance Brake kit?

Does Brembo make the rotors and pads? I'd like to know for future reference so I'm not stuck buying the rotors from BMW. The dust on pads suck but they bite in my opinion.

You can buy drilled and slotted rotors for the m performance kit for 140 an axle from power slot brakes from Amazon with free shipping.

Zimmerman I believe manufactures the official BMW ones however.

The pads that came with my red M Performance brake kit purchased last year are made by Jurid (stamped on the back plate).

Never even heard of JURID. I guess that just leaves the rotors.

Jurid are a high end German brake component manufacturer and have been turning out top line brake parts for many years.

The main factory is in Glinde Germany, factory uses very high spec machinery indeed to manufacture said bits lol, my shop has used Jurid for many years for brake components for my more discerning customers, for the rest I use TRW or Apec which are still excellent quality, but Jurid are top line and you would be very surprised just who they make OE parts for.

Very insightful. Everyone says Zimmermann makes the rotors but the rotors in my kit are two piece with the rivets. I know Brembo makes the same style.

I have read on here that the Hawk 5 brake pads are dust free and very very good,,, I still have the OEM filthy factory set as my car is on lease still.

I myself would say Brembo are the OE manufactures for our BMWs, but if you want another option then Jurid will definitely not disappoint you.

No, these rotors are actually really made by BMW. But since the calipers are Brembo you could take Brembo rotors and matching Brembo pads

Not all rotors are made by BMW, this information is only valid for the "performance" parts.

Oh, makes sense. I really like the rotors that came with the M Performance kit.

Looks like they're dimpled not cross drilled.

Been down this road. The rotors with the M Performance BBK are Brembo dimpled/slotted and non dimpled/slotted rotors made for BMW and can be had aftermarket from a Brembo rotor reseller https://eeuroparts.com/product/brembo/1647938KIT.
https://eeuroparts.com/product/brembo/3054204KIT

My complaint and $0.02 with the MPBBK brembo rotors is they're not directional so the inner vanes and dimples are not directionally different from left to right side of the car which may effect hard braking cooling. Also the pads that come with the MPBBK stop well but are very dusty and noisy. I went with StopTech directional drilled rotors and Hawk 5.0 street pads with no regrets. Also I weighed the Brembo rotors and they are actually about a pound heavier than the StopTech drilled rotors which surprised me seeing the Brembo rotors have aluminum hats.

How much were the Stoptech rotors?

See photos for StopTech part numbers to fit M Performance Brake Kit,
Front 370mm x 30mm and Rear 345x24.

Separate Left and Right part numbers because they all have directional internal vanes for optimal cooling. Also photo of part numbers for Hawk 5.0 pads. They have the best bite by far without the sticky black dust of the BMW pads.

If you have the grey front 4 piston Brembo/BMW sport brake calipers with 340mm x 30mm rotors the part number for those Stoptech drilled rotors are:
128.34140L
128.34140R

I know some folks with the grey 4 piston front Brembo/BMW sport brake calipers with 340mm x 30mm rotors will swap out the stock 1 piston rear calipers for some used F8x rear 2 piston blue calipers and paint the grey fronts to match. Actually a pretty good setup without breaking the bank. Also a good setup for someone running 17" wheels up front. The front 370mm x 30mm rotor and caliper setup require a minimum 18" wheel for them the fit.

Yes, all good information. There is a noticeable difference to the driver upgrading from F340/R330 to F340/R345. The former nosedives under heavy braking while the latter squats very controllably.

G2USA Caliper Paint is a great solution to a color change.

Hawk 5.0 pads are the most noticeable difference and biggest bang for the buck with any sized F3x brakes.
