Cigarette lighter under glove box

Hi all, just a quick question about the hidden power source under the glove box. I've plugged my dash cam in there and it seems to stay powered on after the ignition and internals are fully switched off - does it power down after 5 minutes or so? Saves me the hassle of unplugging it every time.

Thanks
Armaan

This. Just go out to your car without the key after 10 mins and see if the power light is off to be sure

We have the same in our F30, Nextbase plugged into the socket under the glove box.

Takes about 5-10 mins to power off from memory.

Thanks all, just wanted to make sure there won't be any battery issues and it doesn't look like there will be. Good that it continues for a short while too after parking.
