Things I Love & Hate about my F30

Hey everyone,

I just passed my first year of ownership with my F30 335i, so I wanted to make a few videos on the things I love and hate about the car.
Take a look below. I'm sure a lot of you can relate, but I may also get some hate for my comments. These are strictly MY opinion, so take it for what its worth!

Thanks for watching!

Regarding your climate control complaint, I couldn't help but notice you have the vent dial set all the way to blue/cold. Even if you turned both digital knobs up as high as possible, with the vent dial all the way to blue you'll still be getting cooler air out the dash vents.

Personally I leave the temperature dials on both sides set to 70 year round and let the climate control do the rest, I only ever adjust the vent dial if I'm hot or cold at the moment. Granted I live in a pretty temperate climate but even when it's in the 30s in the winter or 90 in the summer, moving the vent dial is usually all it takes to be comfortable until the cabin warms up or cools down. I've had many BMWs and even my E36 worked this way (if the vent dial wasn't disconnected ).

It took me way too long to learn how the climate system worked in this car. When I bought it, the dealer told me just to put the center dial on blue for AC and red for heat.

Turns out, like you said, this center dial works properly when you use auto climate control. Now I love it!

Oh yeah I know about the vent dial. In summer, I move it completely to blue (thats why it was still blue in the video). But not a bad suggestion for leaving it all at 70 and letting climate control do its thing while the vent dial is in the middle. I will certainly give that a shot!

Agreed that kind of annoying you can't sync the climate zones... FYI for hot days, you can just hit Max A/C, it will put the fans on max and the temp as low as it can go. Settings will revert to where they were when you toggle it off.

Great videos thompsac25.

I'm in Cincinnati, OH as well. Just picked up a 2018 White 340i msport this past weekend.

Thanks!

Its a dumb thing to be annoyed about, but I dont understand why theres no sync button!
Good call on the Max A/C!

Nice! Good to see more Cincinnatians on here! A few buddies and I are looking to get an Ohio meet together in the Spring! So keep an eye out for a posting on that in the Great Lakes section!
