18x9 et20 - Will they fit?
I'm looking at these wheels that are 18x9 et20.
I'm currently lowered on BC Racing coil overs and have my fenders rolled. Is it possible to run 18x9 et20? w/out anymore modifications? such as no wheel spacers and others parts needed. Thanks. |

doubtful unless you run tons of negative camber. 18x9 et 30 is right on the outer edge of flush. another 10mm would be very hard to fit imo.

You'll have to run around -2.5 negative camber all around, maybe a bit more depending on tires. 245/40 would work, or 235 if you want to play it a little safer. We've had people run x9.5 +28 with 255s with -2.5 to -3 all around without issues. x9 +20 is about 2mm more aggressive.

Also depends on the wheels and what brakes you have... too little of an offset (where the wheel is deep inside the wheel well) will risk having the rim (spokes) hit the brakes or the rim/tire hit the coil, coil/spring perch, or strut/shock.
Personally, I suggest FINDING someone here on the forums with THE wheel/set-up you are looking for and ask them about any issues they've run into. Most people post their Christmas stories when they first get stuff, but rarely post the... "Aw shoot... that sucks" stories. Rims/wheels are stupidly expensive already and it's hard to backtrack once you buy them and put them on. In my case, I went with an aggressive 19x9 et 38 rim up front with a 235/40 tire (taller/wider tire). And now my tire scrapes the fender and wheel under hard compression (even with a roll). Camber plates works but... they rattle. If I drove like a like a show-car guy, no biggie. But I charge corners and drive pretty aggressively. If I had to do it again, I'd back off my offset by 5mm. Very unlikely they will fit. I am running 18x9 et31 with 255/40 tires and any lower offset would have the tires interfering with the fenders/fender-wells.

Depends on the tire, I was 9j et9 but pulled it in to et14 to match the rear better. Rear is et24, I could run a 5mm spacer no problem. -2.5 front, -2 rear camber

I ran 18x9.5 +28 in the front with a 255/40 Michelin PS4S with no camber adjustment.
So does it fit? Yes. Everyone on here told me that was too aggressive but you won't know till you try. Did it rub? Yes. Occasionally though. On really goofy dips. I had ST XA coilovers and ended up having to raise the car a bit. But you can make it fit.

You on stock suspension? Any poke or pretty flush? I'm looking to do the ec7 18x9 with 245/40 square on 335 m sport.
