BBC worst sports bulletin on Monday Breakfast

Sorry but I despair of the BBC sometimes. On Monday that lass Sally who does the sport -seems OK but hardly at the cutting edge of journalism, had 4 items.

1. They didnt know if Mourinho would be charged by the Football League.

2, They didnt know if Eden Hazard was going to sign for Real Madrid.

3. James Anderson the cricketer wasnt retiring.

4. Matthew Hayden great Australian cricketer (last played in 2009) had been hit on head by surfboard whilst surfing of all things!

Come on we can do better than this with incisive and invigorating sports news can't we?

They have to fill it with something as they don't show any on tv anymore.

Which also means they don't want to promote those sports and would rather talk about the ones they do broadcast, such as LGBT tiddlywinks or similar.

I've thought for some time that the BBC are obsessed with airing headline stories about women's football. It seems ultra politically correct - either that or there's more interest in that section of the sport than I have.

They only seem to mention F1 when channel 4 have highlights later on!
And then they’re straight in with the name of who got pole!

When channel 4 have it live, no mention!!

That’ll be all but 1 race next year then!!

Surprised they didn't mention all the coverage of the world climbing championships they broadcast the other week.

BBC have become a laughing stock of sport coverage.

The BBC has had its day IMO. When we had two TV channels we had to just watch what they chose to put on it. Things are different now and it's just so full of PC crap telling what we ought to be thinking/doing. The radio is the same; I listen to 5 live but can only stand it for so long and usually switch to Talksport when the doom and gloom starts.

Totally disagree with you.

For what the licence fee costs per day I think it's great value. I think the news is generally independent. Funny how the right think it's biased to the left, and vice versa. There's plenty of other news sources to balance out the views.

There's some outstanding dramas, Bodyguard, Line of Duty, Killing Eve to mention just a few. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but Strictly is a well produced programme. Also great documentaries, Plant Earth, Blue Planet, Ambulance. These are just a few programmes off the top of my head.

They may have lost a lot of sports rights but I think their Olympic coverage, Wimbledon coverage and things like the Commonwealth Games coverage is really good.

It may not be perfect but for what it costs I think it's pretty good and immeasurably better than American tv.

It could be so much worse.

I agree wholeheartedly. And without the BBC to compete with our commercial channels would be far worse, adverts every few minutes US style and worse programming.

She annoys the hell out of me and I like just about all the BBC presenters but along with that Welsh wind bag Hugh I can't stand her.
