No mate, it wasn't an M5 and it didn't have the decals of the black strips or the M Performance, it was M badges like we have on the wings on M sport cars - looked ridiculous. Like these roughly positioned where the black strip curves on your last pic:

M-lite cars like:

m135i m235i m140i m550d mX5/6 50d etc....

I think BMW trying create a sub M brand like Audi do with S and RS although they haven't extended to the 3 yet

M sport - S line
M performance - S
M - RS

Sorry, I knew you meant the standard 5, but I thought you meant the logos from the M performance sill stickers and the only 5 series I could find a picture of them on was an M5.

It's bad enough BMW putting the M badges on the wings in the factory of cars that have a bodykit, but putting them in other locations or on cars that didn't have them in the first place is just wrong on so many levels

Looks great and don't worry or bite into Tony's trolling. That car looks epic

Cheers chris. Seen yours with extentions painted, it looks mint, but I'd already got the bottom of my splitter left matt so thought leaving my sill extensions matt was the way to go.

It's not trolling. My initial point was the double standards on here where a person who had stuck m badges on his car was taking a load of stick. This is just as bad as sticking m performance down the side of a car.

I do think both look crap.

Also I've never understood why people glue on another body kit onto a car that already has one fitted

This! Most BMW salesman have no very little knowledge of the products, I asked Riaz about the M Performance Power Kit & he had no idea what I was talking about!
It's sad but true.
In the sector I work in (oil and gas) I pride myself on being up to date with all manor of information, be it asset sales, acquisitions or just general developments.

Whenever I visit a dealership, I almost feel sorry for the salesman. If I was in a position where my counterparts knew more than me, I'd feel embarrassed. Let's face it their scope is fairly minimal.

Most, if not all of my knowledge of BMW's is sourced from this forum, why (if this was your job) would you not make sure you were 100% up to speed with the product you are trying to sell?

Wow, your car looks great! Mines exactly the same without the side decals and 405Ms,

I think the decals go well with the wheels, how much were the wheels? I need them !

Spotted this near my office around Victoria - 1 ///M badge on the rear and some, not so, tasteful exhaust mods and plenty of ///M badging in the side/front.

Spot the original tips still on view making 6 in total
