KermaTDI vs DUDMD
Looking for some input, I've owned my '14 328d for 3 years now and decided to do some upgrades instead of trading it in for an A6 TDI. Found out last week that the DPF needs to be replaced, so I might be deleting that. This got me going down a wormhole with tuning, deletes, etc. At first I was sold on the JR DPF delete + stage 3 tune, but seems like KermaTDI and DUDMD are getting similar gains without any deletes. I've read several positive things about Kerma here (smooth, good power, minimal turbo lag) but there's not much out there about DUDMD. They claim and additional 13 ft/lb tq than Kerma, but without many people going that route I'm a little skeptical.

DUDMD seems to be more popular with the "delete" crowd from what I've seen. Some of the dynos from their customers on YouTube haven't necessarily lived up to the claimed numbers.

Waiting on the Kerma Qpro now, will let you know how it is. To compare, my Bluetec is tuned by OETuning for 240hp and 440 ft-lbs torque.

You won't need to do any delete's with the Kerma tune.
Had it on my wagon before I got my 535d, and I'm ever so patiently waiting for the Kerma tune to be completed on that. Just looking at nothing but the videos from DUDM's dyno's, the tune will behave much like that of a piggy back chip. The same power curve. When I first got my Kerma tune on my wagon, i did miss the surge that the prior piggy back I was running had, that the Kermatune didn't. HOWEVER...I quickly discovered how smooth and sneaky the Kermatune was with it's power delivery. Way more drivable. There are a lot of easter eggs that they bring out of the behavior of the car that make it a dream to drive both hard on the throttle and just cruising around.

UPDATE: turns out that the Q-pro option was not quite ready for the X3d and I was advised by Jason at KermaTDI to give it a couple more months for them to test and get it just right. He offered to meet me locally to do the tune upload once they're ready.
I'll wait on that phonecall.
