When I configure a 2018 340i fully loaded I get about $1K difference. Thats the MSRP change. I suppose different option configuration will later pricing differences |

Look at the order guide for the 2018 3 Series. Packaging is different.
++Dynamic Digital Instrument cluster is in the $3100 Executive Package.++ As with the 4 Series, if you want the better headlights, you must get the pricey Executive Package. The 2018 4 Series Guide has been out for months - cars went into produciton in March. |

iDrive 6.0 already? That was fast. Are we going to see a new iDrive version every year? iDrive 5.0 came out with the MY17's.
Nice to see Connected Drive now standard, along with LED's. We knew the backup camera requirement was coming as it's now the law in the US. Too lazy to do an offline build manually, but I wonder how a similarly spec'd MY17 stacks up against this, since any "standard" equipment likely is built into the new MSRP. |

Yes, finally, been a long time coming. Either they genuinely wanted to do this or they had to do this to make up volume with a supplier on that headlight and this is the last year to do it before the new 3-Series goes on sale...

Hmm, looks like BMW is heading the way of Mercedes with their Premium Package 1,2,3,4 optioning scheme. In order to get 2, you need to option 1 and in order to get 3, you need to option 2 and so on.

I hope moving forward, halogens no longer make it or become available on future models. I don't care the tech BMW puts into halogens to improve vision, on a car that costs as much as it does, halogens should not even be mentioned or considered.

Why would you faint? It's now the law here in the US to have a backup cam.

You can get the Digital Cluster in the 3-series, but based on what the 330i/340i guide says, you can only get it with the Executive Package. I don't like that at all. They're forcing us to order other features that we don't want/need in order to get that one feature that we want (i.e. Digital Cluster). At the end of the day, BMW is a business and they probably care more about sales/money than consumer satisfaction. I wish the Digital Cluster was an individual option, though!
