Bugger!
A dopey cnut drove into me on a roundabout whilst my car was stationary!
Got it on my dashcam, but my insurance will no doubt still go up next year due to a non-fault claim! |

Someone drove into my car in our company car park, they did 5k of damage, I wasn't even in the car and the claim all went through on their insurance not mine, still my premiums have rocketed. I fucking hate insurance companies and all the malingering under-achieving cunts who work for them.

Aw man that sucks
I take it the dashcam didn't record the plate of the offending car?

Yep, he ran the whole side of his car along it! I don't think he even attempted to avoid me or brake!

At least that's something. Still crappy about the way insurance works though.

People who can't fluken drive, plonkers, feel sorry for you.
Similar thing happened to my missus on the 5 ways A11 roundabout someone took the roundabout straight and thought it was OK to virtually try & drive over her front wing when she was on the inside lane. Virtually identical damage, unfortunately no dash cam so it was 50/50, bloody lazy sods at the insurance co. just a cop out, at least you can prove it That'll be expensive, hers was £3.5K the headlight unit alone was £700 ! |

Yep it's unfair your insurance will go up next time for no fault of your own, mine went up £120 at renewal 4 years ago for a non fault claim .. I can see why some people put in whiplash claims now to cover it.

Ah that sucks. I had similar damage to the driver's side of a six month old car once. Had it repaired and a fortnight later a bus pulled out of a stop into my stationary car and did the passenger wing/bumper the same.
Good luck with the repair

Surely you exchanged details with the other driver, and will claim on their insurance ? I notified my insurer "for information purposes" (in case the other party changed their mind about paying cash for the repair bill) when my car was hit by a bike on the M25 last year. My policy didn't increase at renewal; no impact to NCD.

As a counter point here... someone rear-ended me a few years back. I was stationary and the driver admitted liability immediately. Their insurance organised repair within a day and my policy hardly changed at all.

Same here, you might not have to pay an increased premium.
