Spend the money and get the BMW carbon fiber mirror caps, they replace the whole top of the mirror housing, not just a cover for the existing mirror. Not much money when included in the total cost of the car. You will not be sorry.

It made of pure carbon fiber, not carbon fiber coated plastic. They are extremely high quality parts.
Stupid expensive I agree, but I purchased my car because of the quality of BMW, so any mods I make have to be equal to or better than OEM. I am older and retired and used to race for the last 40 years so my cars are my hobby, and I realize my situation is different, so I encourage everyone to pursue their projects.
