Equipment: F31 with match up7bmw, SWS 8xi w polyfill, factory center channel with HK tweeter and HK metal grill added (yes, both are pnp and yes the grill does make a surprisingly notable difference so want to be honest about it)

This is a LHD driver centric tune, taking advantage of the center channel, though it doesn't change the focus very much if off/muted, nor does turning off the rear door speakers as they are heavily bandpassed and turned way down as they should be.
For RHD:
Note there are very minimal eq differences in front channels right around 250hz to look for, otherwise the eqs are same left to right so it would just be copying the settings for gains and t/a and inverting them for UK/OZ/NZ/JAPAN drivers...

Using "Caroline, No" in both mono or stereo you should hear the opening percussion in front of driver (especially the 3rd beat which was smearing even on mono till i found a small peak in right side that the left, being off axis, didnt have ) and the subs should sound like they are "in the dash" mostly. Some very mild smearing and a bit low height on some frequencies to be honest since the 4's just dont go low enough with authority, and the sws are a bit weak in midbass but the 4" do get down to 80ish with some acceptable amount of volume and over 100hz are ok with some eq, but I've tried to minimize/optimize by allowing overlap on x-overs, being very aggressive on crossovers roll off, and as well as finding the peaks where both play decently and knocking them down mostly on the sub channels to try to keep stage height and imaging intact.
The subs are a bit tamed and T/A'd as well and blend now much better as a result, but will still knock your socks off enough to where you might not even want a boot sub in your touring... and if you did you'd want a 12 or 15 sealed because a 10 (IMO) would do nothing for you.

This file is what i was expecting/hoping to hear when i installed the match up 7bmw and loaded the match Touring profile, though even that was 5x better than stock!
this? this is a whole `nother level. like going from a TV soundbar to a true 5.1 home theater of dfference.
Tried out this setup and not sure if it loaded correctly but was not a huge fan. It seemed to flatten out the sub to where at half way volume the sub sounds non-existent. Most likely going back to the touring file. Thanks for sharing though may try out some more setup.

i figured it out for you. When i did the t/a i turned off the sub expander (loudness) since i dont need it at 70-85% where i usually run mine.

when i turned down to 50% or less there was no bass as a result.

made a new tune for you with it back on and the sub t/a fine tuned a bit.
it hammers at lower volumes again.

I hope you enjoy it.

Hello guys!
I have read all the 19 pages and getting confused finding a better setup for my F30 that the stock.

Car have installed the full Match stage 4 kit.
Match7UP amp, rear speakers with tweeters , front subs, front speakers with separate tweeters.

Car does not have a central dashboard speaker.

Which would be the best option for customer tune file for that amp and F30?

Onizukachan's last post has a touring setup and as far as I read, the F31 that this tune was made for has central speaker.

Do not want to experiment with putting the touring profile on a sedan car, having in mind mine doesn't have central speaker.

Any advice or direct f30 custom tune with similar setup to mine ?

All f30/32/36/80/82 and f31 that had the amp the match7 replaced are with center speaker. All tune files you get from match will have the center turned on. I’m guessing yours was euro base with 4 speakers and the amp and speakers were retrofitted.

That being said, on my tune the center is very tuned down in volume so it ain’t gonna hurt to not have it. I can flip it on or off with only the tiniest of differences.

Just watch a couple of videos on YouTube about how to use the software and load a file of your choice and go to town tuning.

Start with mine, start with match sedan or match touring, whatever you think sounds closest to your ultimate goal.

Yes, it was retrofitted. I will not then take any actions since I do not want to screw things up.
It is not so bad now and will not experiment and lose the current settings.

That makes no sense.
Just Save the file you have now.

I'd be very interested in this. Maybe I'll start a thread and see what happens

Sub in the trunk tune card??

Does anyone have a good tune card/profile for a sub in the trunk? I just got the Match UP 7BMWf for my 18 BMW 320i. I have Focal speakers and 10" sub in the trunk. I'll share one I created but thought I would see if others have good ones as well.

Does anyone know if you have to add FL/FR/RL/RR to subwoofer channel (for a sub in the trunk)? Or do you just move front left and front right over to the trunk subwoofer channel?

You don't NEED all 4 channels (although it wouldn't hurt).

I've actually used mr rear channels which with the S676A hifi option give a full range signal.

This way I can use the drive fader control as a sub level controller (IE knock the Front to Rear fader towards the front to reduce the Sub level)

Thanks! I’m still trying to figure it all out. I noticed my center speaker isn’t happy with new when it’s assigned front left and front right. The audio distorts - it kind of goes in and out. But if I only assign it front left, the sound is fine. Do you assign center channel FL/FR?

Yes, then turn on the center channel feature so it on
Y plays what is on both channels. Otherwise it’s just a left.

Sound like you didn’t turn on a crossover for it or set the level yet.

To turn on center channel feature, I go into IO tab and elect center channel on the right side? It already said center channel by default so I figured it was setup already. I haven’t programmed the DSP from scratch, I’ve just been loading the tune from match website (and tunes that other people have posted on this forum.

Also - I was reading a crutchfield review of the amp and this gentleman says: “ By default, the amp relies on the potentiometer for amplifier gain and applies an additional +5 dB input gain from the BMW headunit. You need to first go into DCM tab, Signal Management to switch to a standard 8V input.”

Should I set it to 8V as well? I’m having trouble getting the system to sound just right. Especially my sub.

Thank you!!

I’m talking about the real center feature /fx where center only plays what is on both channels and not a sum of both channels.

I have to ask.
Do all these audio settings posted in this thread work with the MATCH UP 7BMW-amp?

I tried looking but nobody seems to have.. anyone got a tune for BMW F15 X5 for the match up 7dsp? I upgraded to earthquake underseats.. b&o speakers with JBL GTO19T tweeters and I’m just looking for something that would give it that finish touch.. cause as it comes from factory its pretty rough.. not impressed .. and match don’t seem to have a tuning file for UP 7DSP, if not… I’m gonna go from 0 and try and get a good tune myself

Is there Anyone in here who has a F31 with:
OEM HiFi speakers + monoblock and a Trunk sub
and has a mint file you are happy with?
(Im playing mostly electronic music but also some other genres)

Could be interesting if someone with another atleast similar car has a sweet file aswell just so I can compare with mine,
I´ve been tuning the Touring-file with some own parameters and exploring with "subXoabder" and "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" among other settings.
Time allignment made a big positive impact for me.

Cheers.

Here is mine, I have calibrated for driver by distance, so everything sounds infront of driver. I have removed center speaker.

I have Bimmertech complete sound system with PP86DSP, with HI-FI system.

Hello guys, just installed Match Up 7bmw amp and loaded a preset for BMW GT series from a fisher, a nice upgrade to HIFI audio. Wondering can it be even better, so maybe somebody has a preset made for f34? Thanks
