my f36 just changed brake pads but something doesnt look right

hey guys,

i was washing my car today and found out something that looks pretty strange to me....

i've noticed how the pad is having some very weird looking wear on the top part of the pad...please see attached pics for reference...

the pads are 3days new by the way...just got it done at the dealership

can someone take a look and tell me if the pads look normal or strange to you?
im referring to the gap between the pad and the rotor at the very top part
of it

Brake pads are chamfered. When new, the middle portion makes contact and the outer edges will appear to "float".

thats why...because when i took my car for service, that currently floating part
is making direct contact with the rotor....

They will take a little longer to bed in properly too as it is clear that the dealership skimmed [resurfaced] your discs [rotors]. That should make them work well but will of course shave a little life off the discs themselves. Pse excuse the pun!
