Does anybody have LED fogs and no ghosting?

LED bulbs in the stock fogs I mean, not F32 fogs. Picked up a set of Cree XML2 based bulbs and think I may stick them in. Was gonna get the F32 ones, but $380 for those vs $60 for the Cree made me think twice and go the cheap route. Plus, the Cree are way brighter at 2500 lumens each vs about 1800 for the stockers. For reference, stock HIDs are 3000-3200lm.

Just worried about them not going completely out when not being used. That ghosting effect isn't exactly "cool", at least not to me. Anybody not have that?

Okay. Does nobody have LEDs or does everybody have ghosting?

My buddy who is a BMW Genius has LEDs in his OEM fogs and they do ghost, its very evident at night, and I did code them.

They were cheap tho, like 15 a piece, not sure if that makes a difference here tho.

Yeah, you told me about that. Thats why I'm wondering if anybody has it not ghosting. I don't think the LUX were ghosting in my F02, but I never looked that closely.

From what I'm reading on the web, a capacitor should stop this from happening, since the bulb is not drawing power, and the light is caused by residual energy in the wiring. Block that energy, then theres no ghosting.

No idea if thats right. I took mechanical engineering, not electrical engineering.

Ah ha! Just put them in, don't see any ghosting for now, I'll check tonight to see if there's any in the dark.

Do it the intelligent way:
1. Code out cold and warm bulb check
2. Code in LED fog lights
3. Code voltage mapping to 100%
I may be missing one more step for keeping constant 100% voltage mapping but can't remember now.

I have no idea what Scott coded. They aren't throwing any codes.

Without knowing exactly how the lighting module passes information and voltage to the lights we can't tell you why is that happening and how to prevent it. Besides the cold and warm check there's more to tell the module it's LED and not halogen.

Besides what was mentioned about changing Cold/Warm/Is_LED, did you change anything else? I remember there was a forum post claiming they had to change the voltage or something similar.

Anyone here have an LED driver with their leds? If so how did you manage to hold it in place? Double sided tape didn't mount my led driver securely, and as a consequence, my LEDs don't turn on properly until some pot hole or bump moves the driver around.

How come you have a separate driver? The FEM has PWM PSUs built into it so you shouldn't need a separate driver, assuming the 'bulb' has the necessary circuitry in it to take 14.4V (15+ at times).

What I've essentially ordered is a headlight kit, I believe that's why. Here is an attached picture of a similar product

Ahh, in that case I'd find some cable ties, or just use some bulbs or the proper F32 LED fogs.
