Since it's a 2 door go with 35% all around gives it a nice clean look, ceramic films are the best to use brand wise suntek or formula1?

GC is a 4 door, how about 3m? but CA law is 70% in the front

I live in Socal. I have found that if I go with 40% all around the police will leave you alone. In terms of brands, Suntek is good too. I would not waste my money on ceramic because frankly it doesnt get too hot here so to me the extra heat rejection is not needed. If you really want to improve the heat rejection, tint the front windshield. I did this with my Audi S5 and it helped a lot!

Calif law enforcement will pull you over all day long for tinted front windows. I got tired of the battle and just left my other cars 'legal' (back and rear). How dark is 40% UCLA? I want to take my car in and am debating whether to do the fronts until I get pulled over for it.........

40% to me looks more smoky than dark or black. Especially in sunlight, you can easily see into the car. Here is a pic of my car:

Yeah, those are the ones that came with the car. I have since changed them to the 19" 442 wheels.

Looks great. Just wouldn't last out here in Calif. Maybe i'll do 30% and see how it goes. The car sits most of the time in the garage. After a month, the car has about 500 miles on it......

I work from home so I dont drive much either aside from shuttling kids around. My car only has 4000 miles after 5 miles. It would have about 3000 but I had to drive my car to LA and SD a few times.

Yeah, I sold them complete with the tires. I am pretty stoked with these 19's though I think I will go with 20's eventually after I get my coil overs installed. BTW, the 397s are cool wheels, unique in the BMW lineup.

Yeah..work from home also. Both my 428 and my Impala sit now. I like your 19s...very cool. I think I'll swap to a good set of Michelin tires after some time and get rid of the R/Fs. I want to go wider (245s) all around. I read that size would fit the wheels. 225s are just a bit to narrow for my taste. Did you go wider?

I didnt go wider. Yes, you can go +1 on these wheels. Several other members have and it doesnt look too bad at all.

These 19's have the stock terrible run flats. I was going to get a set of Hankooks V12s or Michelin PSSs but I would rather use that money to get coil overs. I think the M Sport suspension pretty much sucks.

Yeah, you'd think Pirelly P7 would be ok. They're 'ok' but nothing like my Goodyear F1s I run on the SS. Those things are steamrollers and sticky as hell. (285/40s). I'll probably go with PSSs down the line. I haven't pushed the car too hard but I'm actually impressed with the M sport suspension, especially in sport mode. (Guess Sport Line comes with the same suspension as the M-Sport..says it on my window sticker). How much are coilovers?

yeah I think the runflats are part of the reason why I think the suspension sucks. They are loud and it feels like I am riding on stone tires. The suspension is pretty good when taking nice, sweeping curves. The car feel planted, tires are fairly sticky, and there is a bit of oversteer which I like. The oversteer and the sensation that rear is swinging around reminds me racing my motorcycles. But start to take some quick corners or ones with bumps mid corner and things start to fall apart. Coils start from $1000. It depends on the level of adjustment you want (rebound and compression). I also want coils so I can adjust the ride height too. My car looks like a 4x4 and I am sick of it!

Gotcha. I can't go any lower or I'll scrape both ends going up and down my driveway. As it is, my 'black chrome' tailpipes are a sheet of papers width from being scratched...so i go REALLY slow up and down.

I'm with you man. At first I did not understand why everyone hates RFTs, but I've grown to seriously dislike them. Towards the end of the year, they are gone.
