New Gtechniq Crystal Serum

A new ceramic coating that comes with a 5 year guarantee!

Looking at the video you can see why this is only available for accredited detailers! Apply it incorrectly and you're in deep doo doo.

Got a new mini coming in a few weeks so will be speaking to my detailer to see if he can get it.

I'm not sure you'd want to know if they cocked it up!

Your right. you wouldn't want to be first in line at the detailer to have this. Impressive though!

great product if your not into regular car detailing and waxing.
literally wash and go.....

i've recently started to use a lot of the G techniq products, they are great!
but myself, i'd prefer to remove any minor swirls with a rotary mop about once every 1-2 years and re-seal.

i don't think i wouldn't want any product you have to wet sand in order to remove....

Yeah I agree. I'm very impressed so far with my Ultimate nano-coat R, which is like the GTechniq but hardens to rubber like coating rather than ceramic. Offers the similar protection so far as i can see. Between that and the venture shield it is about as protected as it can be!

I can invisage huge problems if you have a prang, bumper needs replacement and painting and blending in with metal body panels.

For me? Why's that?

If I were to have a prang it would depend on how big:

Small scuff may not do anything, or may need the venture shield replaced, which costs less than a respray.

Larger ones would just be same as any other one, then I'd need to pay again to get the affected panel or part recovered if it was that had venture shield.

If you're taking about other panels for scratches etc then I know that ultimate coating can be removed by the detailed without wet sending and then refinished

About £150 a pop not including detailers fees..

Probably worth waiting until plenty of customers have fed back on their experiences...

I use Gtecniq C2v3 and their L1 leather guard- both great products..

I spoke to my detailer (who did some testing for this product for Gtechniq) and he does not want to use it at the moment.

His worry is missing an area when removing any residue and then having to wet sand it, which isn't something he would want to do (particularly on a new car!).

I contemplated this for when I get my car in June, as detailer has recently added it to range.

However, it's a bit of an unknown and that coupled with sanding down etc, makes me nervous if a simple smart repair turned in to a major venture.

It's an excellent idea and will likely work amazing, however might try it on the older car first.
