Hi Shawn,

I don't know what's up with some of these people!! In my opinion, you've been one of the best people I've dealt with on the forum.

If I understand right, the 2014-1 update is for CIC and the 2014-2 update is for those who have NBT, correct?

Thanks for the kind words.

In this case, that is true, but ordinarily both versions would be -1. The difference is CIC takes PREMIUM map and NBT takes NEXT map. The version of each map could be whatever.

Well, the guy said that he'd have the map download for 2014-2 North America NEXT (NBT) by today so I hope he delivers. I'm heading down to the states this week and I need my navigation working since I'm still on 2013-2 Europa NEXT.

The Map transfer from BMW ISPS Server to Flash Drive was successfully completed after a 7 day run.

The Map was then packaged into a 34 part .RAR archive and uploaded to a Private Server.



Unfortunately, 4 of the 34 parts failed FTP Upload, and will have to be reuploaded, which won't take but 30 minutes to complete, but the upload can't be kicked off until 11 pm tonight. So, I think by midnight it will be available for download.

Hey Shawn, the NBT map update doesn't seem to fit into one 64GB USB stick. Is there a way to split it into two or three USB sticks so I can install it with on USB stick at a time or will this also work on a 1TB external hard drive?

Extracted it is 32.7 GB. It will not fit on a 32 Gb Thumb Drive; however it will fit on, and is designed for, a 64 GB Thumb Drive.

You can not split it up, nor use an external hard drive. It has to be 64 Gb of Flash memory.

Thanks Shawn! Worked like a charm. I was really worried that this wouldn't work on a retrofitted NBT system using an activation module but the upgrade went through smoothly without any issues.

After almost 3 weeks with no navigation, I now have maps again!







The voice on the voice control is definitely different compared to CIC (more clear) and the directional arrows on the KOMBI also look more sharp with NBT.
