city road conditions, and NJ is right up there. And I thought Pittsburgh was bad until I saw this chart. It's a chart with percentage of bad, mediocre, and good roads. CA the worst, FL the best:

Wow that sucks dude!!! I left Jersey at 18 to join the military and haven't looked back. Ended up in South Florida. Each time I visit I wonder how I ever lived there!!!

There were semi-trucks to the left, right and behind me so I had to straddle the structure. It gutted the bottom of my car. They had to removed the suspension, fuel tank, belly pan, exhaust and transmission. It took over 2 months to repair. I sent the bill and insurance deductible along with pictures to the Detroit and the State of Michigan and they outright said they're not responsible for the condition of the road! The car never worked right afterward and I sold it with only 500 miles on the odometer. |

Detroit I had a mustang for a few years... the roads killed it... so I bought a Explorer just for the fact of the potholes... NYC is terrible and seems my wife aims for them when she drives it ... I end up getting a 4 wheel alignment at the end of the season just to make sure everything is okay...

That sucks OP. Thank god Raleigh doesn't have those sink hole potholes here, although I did somehow slash the tire open from a curb 2 days ago and I had to leave the car in a Walmart parking lot overnight with a flat.
