Do cars with runflats not have toolkit and tow hook?

Just picked up a 2016 f33 and can't find the tow hook or the tool kit. Nothing was found under the wheel compartment or side compartments. Could it be possible that runflat equipped cars don't come with the set?

I also have an e90 with runflats that was missing the toolkit, but it at least had a tow hook in the compartment.

That cover is not readily detachable on the f33 (need to unscrew like 4 of the black screws). The one on the left is removable and underneath that is just a smooth, plastic tray. No indents or any indication that a toolkit belongs in there.

Your suggestion is dead on for my e90 tho.

Onboard Vehicle Tool Kit/Tow

If you don't find it where it's noted...get one from your dealer.

Ahh, the days when a full complement of "essential" tools were in the compartment under the trunk lid! I guess BMW figures the vast majority of US drivers would not have any use of these tools hence these are not included. We don't even get the warning triangles and the emergency band-aid kit.

F36 has it in the left side rear compartment. Toolkit is essentially the tow hook and a screwdriver (wooohooo!). Not very impressive really.

Got tow-hook and screwdriver. Missing the warning triangle that's supposed to be mounted to the underside of the trunk lid. Odd......

BMW NA decided that our cars do not get the triangle, first aid kit, etc. Very safety minded of them...

^ this. Only European cars get the 1st aid kit and emergency triangle. You can buy them online for $20 or so however..
