F30 335i MPE vs Muffler Delete
All,
I would like to get opinions on the Setups listed below. I currently have a 13 F30 335i with MPE and resonator still in place but looking for more sound. Something deeper and more aggressive. Drone does not bother me too much. Thanks in advance. Option 1: MPE + Resonator Delete Option 2: Muffler delete with resonator still in place Option 3: Any options you guys suggest. Not looking to do a catless dp for warranty reasons. Also dont want to buy another exhaust since i already have the MPE. |

Definitely try deleting your resonator! You'll get a deeper sound and more crackles!

It may be quiet to you! Quote:
One small step at time, this will increase sound inexpensively yet you can put it back in and get something else later.

I have videos of my MPE without resonator. Sounds good. I now have a different exhaust but it is a nice growl vs straight piped

Does the resonator delete cause droning inside the car? I know the OP doesn't care, but I am curious for myself. I like the additional backfires as it reminds me of the Camaro's I used to own.

I have No cats, resonator or muffler. IMO the muffler delete alone, was not loud enough because I could barely hear it in cabin. Paired with the cat delete it was perfect. But I wanted more so then i did the resonator delete.
Drone is subjective and IMO it is bare able for me with this setup, and not too bad

IMO res delete doesn't make enough of a difference to make you happy, especially if you're after sound, and even more especially since you're considering a muffler delete. I did a res delete with stock and i had a few crackles but not much. Had a muffler delete and while the drone wasn't horrible, it gave me a headache on highways.
