2012 328i Oxygen (O2) Sensor Issue

I have a 2012 328i Sedan with 29,635 miles and yesterday the CEL came on. I took it to AutoZone where they gave me the following code: P0030 H02S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 1)

A few questions:

1. Has anyone else had this and is it something that can be repaired in the driveway or is it best that I take it to the dealership or another mechanic?

2. Is it unusual for it to happen with such low mileage or did it age out after 5 years?

3. How long can I expect to drive before it becomes a serious issue? It literally just came on yesterday morning.

If you have any other comments or sugggestions I would really appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance for the responses and advice!

You will need to lift up the car and remove the cat to be able to replace the o2 sensor. It is the same step as installing a downpipe.

But if your engine is a n26 you still have a 15 years 150k miles warranty to replace for free

Why would he need to remove the cat for a precat sensor? Can't you get to it from above at the exhaust manifold?

Are there any forums or youtube videos that show how to replace the bank 1 O2 sensor on the BMW F30? Mine has just under 80,000 miles and it is throwing the same code.
