How to go about fixing this?

A rock of some sort must’ve hit the driver’s side mirror at high speed to cause this hole and marking on the part that connects to the body of the car. From what I know, this isn’t directly replaceable?

Next steps to get this fixed for relatively cheap?

Chip repair paint or respray.
Otherwise replace the side mirror with a second hand one.

Looks deep enough to put a little filler (putty) in it before touch up paint. Must have been a good size rock.

Any good Amazon.com suggestions for materials? I have a bottle of touch up paint from the dealer.

I noticed the exact same thing on my driver's side yesterday. My chip is even deeper.

Please do post back what you decide on

I had a similar thing and chipex.com have a fantastic full kit to fix chips like this. Comes with paint, applicators blending solution and polish. Great bit of kit and I honestly couldn't see it afterwards I of course knew where it was but you really couldn't make it out
